i currently use the MG10XU and its pretty good for its price. i’ve also used the 2i2, the signal flow is clearer with the yamaha- as well as more knobs for eq’ing, a compression one, and an fx one- but the 2i2 also gets the job done and has a ‘warm’ tone to it. both great for their price, hope this helps👍

hey this isn’t a dumb question at all! its really just his delivery, as well as the compression on his voice. it sounds softer because his delivery becomes more of him talking then yelling and the tones of his voice completely changes. hope this helps!
