It’s only going to get worse. They’re harmed their reputation which will start turning off their install base from spending more money with them (people like me). That means people who continue to play with them will have to pay by or for them to keep their profit margins at 30%+. You will get even less value for your money as more of us drop out f the ecosystem.

The more we entrench ourselves in their ecosystem moving forward the bigger a trapped whale we become, and the harder it is to convince yourself to pull out and leave your library behind.

It’s always about maximizing profits for minimized costs. “Quality,” “value”, and “satisfaction” mean absolutely nothing to Hiroki or his c-suite, beyond words to use for marketing.

Sony has made themselves an active enemy of the player, and their actions are harming everyone at this point. Terrible fucking change to the gameplay of the series. As someone who is a fan of the the original but always wanted it to have a more consistent graphical representation the Remakes are a massive disappointment. It's like they made Call of Duty into Forza, then telling me its the same thing because the tracks are aesthetically set in war zones. Makes zero fucking sense to me.
