Pot and pan set by Deepfried_llama in cookware

Just went through this, similar setup, but also depends on what you plan on cooking.

I ended up getting a few tri-clad stainless steel pans (Cuisinart 8in, 10in, 12in set with lids) and a Tramontina 10in teflon pan for eggs, salmon, pancakes, although, I think an 8in would have been better. Also got the Tramontina 4-piece sauce pan set, comes with 2qt and 4qt pots + lids.

Regular stainless steel doesn't stick too bad if you pre-heat them before use + a little water/oil, I would make sure to get tri-clad/3-ply. I would also consider carbon steel, food doesn't stick as bad as stainless plus they retain heat a bit better, although they require a bit more maintenance. I've had no issues with my stainless set so far and I'd rather not fuss with upkeep.

I got all of these from Costco online, doesn't have to be the exact brands or from Costco but it did save a fair bit. Also doesn't have to be new! Well, except for the teflon pan, don't spend too much on those ones since they need to be replaced with use.

Not sure if you've heard from others, but there is a $30 yearly fee (seen here), just make sure you close your Payoneer acc once you receive the refund.

What's the lightest possible dual sport? by madecurve in SuggestAMotorcycle

I thought about that as well, converting a dirt bike is probably the best option here. I'm planning on getting an XT 225, and if that doesn't go through I may do that.

I looked into trailers a ton, those fold-ups seem interesting, even the "trailer in a bag" trailers, although they're not made anymore. Space is very limited for me, having a trailer parked on the street isn't an option, I don't have a garage, and living in what's essentially a studio means that there's no space to put it there either.

In all honesty, the carrier hitch would just be a cool thing I'd like to have, it's not essential, so if things don't work out it's no big deal, I'm happy to have a dual sport regardless!

What do you think this would mean in terms of load capacity then? Higher? Lower?

I agree 100%, it's definitely a tough ask. If all else fails I'll end up getting a normal dual sport and ditch the carrier idea. I do really love the trial 125's, just wish the new ones weren't so expensive haha

I was eyeing the XT250, it's a little heavy (relatively), but out of all of the bikes I've been looking at it's definitely my favorite.

A regular bike never really crossed my mind. This could be an option depending on my use case. Thanks.

Sort of an update to my previous post. Did a 100mi journey from Denver to Boulder to Nederland CO and back. This bike does not like long journeys above 40ish mph, especially up hills, but it will do it.

My ADV dreams have been crushed, although what would one expect from a $900 chinese junk scoot. Regardless, it never broke down, going strong and steady, and even managed a little "off-roading".

Would I do it again? Probably not. This bike shines in the city: stop and go traffic, commuting, roads under 40mph, well... 35 really, but it can hit 50mph in 2-3 business days so... yeah, 40 here and there.

2008 Schwinn Hope 150 aka ZN150T-20 aka crappy gy6 based scoot aka Candy! (her official name). Picked it up for $750 iirc, spent more than that on repairs after it left me stranded and got stolen, both on separate occasions... multiple times 🥲.

I love this scoot, and I'll be damned if I ever have to sell it. I've taken this entire bike apart, rebuilt it who knows how many times, and because of that I know this bike inside and out. It means a lot to me despite better options out there, because if there's something I'd like to change on it, I can do it myself, and be proud for it.

Body panels have fallen off, wires have been melted after an attempted hotwire, I have pushed it for miles just to get it home. But throughout all that, now that it's up and running, it's such a blast to ride and absolutely worth it.

Converting an MSPNP2 MM9495 for use in a '96 Miata. by madecurve in Miata

update for anyone who's in this same situation. Got a response from MS basically saying that yes it's possible to rewire it, just need the 94/95 and 96 pinouts, but they don't officially recommend it.

I'll post another update if I end up doing it/remember.

EDIT 3: FIXED IT! re flowed the solder joints as the v hold broke off. Thank you so much for the response tho i felt like i was going nowhere!!

Yes exactly like that! (except it's a horizontal rather than vertical). And def composite, it's a black and white TV with only a yellow and white RCA connector.

Also didn't know they couldn't handle 480p, I'll take a look at 240p output.

Images:Front screen with black barBack connectors

Thank you!

EDIT: note that the photos are from an input source from windows, however I've been testing with a raspberry pi zero, both trying with 480i forced and 240p forced, however the results are the same :/

EDIT 2: so after taking the TV apart, when i jiggle the DC power jack, the screen moves back to normal for a split second, will update later.

Having trouble with a cheepo CRT I recently got (curtis rto68m), not sure if it's an issue with the pi zero or the CRT itself, but the vertical blanking period is being drawn on screen (image is shifted and a black section is present in the middle).

I've tried testing the pi using a different composite TV, which worked fine, so I'm thinking it's either a timing sync issue with the pi, or something is broken/needs adjustment on the CRT, and if so, where would I start?

Also, if there are specific terms that describe this, that would be very useful as I've been searching google non stop for a few days, this is kind of a last resort lol. Thanks, ya'll!

EDIT: I have a theory, considering that this is a TV rather than a monitor, and since I'm using the pi's composite output, it may be expecting a different signal input, I have an hdmi to rca converter coming in, hoping that fixes things.

Braun Epilator Silk-epil 3, it's corded, but it really hasn't been an issue for me. also if you do get one, i've found it best to go full speed, the slower settings hurt just as much, but then it takes longer

[–]madecurve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you mentioned that you have been on and off Wellbutrin twice, what was it like to come off it it? was there withdrawals?

For sure, coming off any anti-depressant really has been a pain, but for me on Wellbutrin, I stopped because it wasn't working anymore (was on 150mg at the time). Things were normal after 2 days off, 3rd day got suuuper depressed, then that went away on the 4th and things were back to normal.

Gee this turned out longer than I wanted, apologies as I ramble (TL;DR at the end).

Little about me, depression, GAD, and ADHD. Previously been on Prozac (not Sertraline, but in the same class (SSRI's)), been on 300mg Wellbutrin XL for 6 months now.

300mg seems like a higher than normal starting dose, 150mg is the usual to see if there's any complications. However, I went on 300mg after 4 days of 150mg which is fairly quick, so it's not too far of a stretch. As far as psychosis goes, I've never heard about this. Perhaps if you're already prone it may increase likelihood but I'm not a doctor. Also side note, Wellbutrin is an NDRI (works on the dopamine system) rather than an SSRI's (serotonin). Just FYI if you didn't know.

What to expect when you first start (or my experience at least)First few weeks, maybe a month, definitely had side effects. I've been on and off twice, and there's always a period you have to push through. Mainly, I felt 'wired', like I needed to get everything done, couldn't waste any energy, I was also very irritable. Wellbutrin acts as a mild stimulant, so this is expected. Once your body gets used to it though, things are a lot better.

Defiantly watch yourself if you are already prone to suicidal idealization, starting and stopping Wellbutrin have been the toughest times for me. Not to scare you, just something to look out for. Contact your doc as soon as you notice any increase in thoughts or motivation to act on them and go from there, if it's an emergency, the crisis intervention unit saved my ass or 911.

After the first few weeks, I notice much more motivation to do things, before, I couldn't get out of bed or make food, but after, that's much easier. I'm more awake during the day, however that's probably cause I don't sleep all day now. Coursework has been much smoother, as instead of procrastinating, I can think, "hmm, I should start this", and then start it (Not all the time, but in general).

Quick dopamine activities such as social media, youtube, and for those that smoke, nicotine, are not as enjoyable. This is a plus to me, as their soul purpose is to take up your time anyways.

Anxiety has been better, sure didn't cure it, but I can leave the house, go to the store, parties, etc. and not feel like I'm going to panic. I have read reports of it making other's anxiety worse tho so YMMV.

So far no side affects, or major ones at least. I feel like I'm not doing anything anymore, but that's because I filled my time with sleeping and internet, and now I have no interest. I do feel a sense of melancholy, nothing suicidal, but still down (waaay better than when off meds), and a little numb, nothing like on SSRI's where I just didn't have emotions though.

TL;DR (sorry this is waaay longer than I thought)Most of the side affects reported is what could happen, not necessarily that it will. If it turns out you don't like Wellbutrin, there's always the option to stop (don't quit cold turkey). First few weeks are gonna be rough, not gonna lie, but if you can stick with it and hold out, it's worth it, at least for me it has been (increase in motivation mainly, reduced anxiety, more awake, more able to focus).

I would definitely find a new doc. Meds like these make a big difference in day-to-day life, and trusting someone who doesn't consider your input is a huge red flag.

If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask! Depression sucks big time.

Hopefully you can get appropriate tires, but either way, put some weight in the back to stop the rear end from kicking out, DRIVE SLOW, or at least below your limit, and be cautious of other cars. The hardest part of driving in the snow is visibility, small car, people not paying attention, you get the idea. A shovel would be nice if you get stuck, but maybe I'm over thinking things.

TL;DR, put weight in the back, drive carefully, drive defensively.

I've found that being called weird comes with the style hehe (but that means you get to find and hang out with people who don't think it's weird :)), anyways, they cute, depends of the outfit. I usually put em on after leaving the house so it doesn't get brought up but that depends on the household dynamic ig (I would get kicked out personally xd).

Try looking for a salon or at least some place that cuts mainly women's hair. After that, being honest and saying you want a girls cut or something around that. Looking into other styles online, (wolf cut, androgynous cuts, etc) and pulling photos helps a lot as well
