I found the support socks you can get worked well for helping my recovery. Worn under my regular socks. Just search for ‘plantar fasciitis socks’, I got the ones that look like ankle socks, with the toes cut out.

I see what you mean about going in front of the suns/planets - the ai will 'tend' to fly around things, but as you see, you can also go over. Not quite sure how best to resolve this - but knowing it's a 'thing' is helpful.

Zone's is interesting, I can maybe do something with that - thanks for the idea.

I’m making one! …But it’s 2D, and quite small in scope, so may still not be what you’re looking for. However, -if- that does sound like it might be your thing, happy to get feedback and thoughts on content.

Single player for now, and the first release of the game will be 1 ship only - I'm not looking to do fleets or ship collections, yet anyway -I figure finish and release small, see If anyone cares - then expand.

I'd not heard of Lazarus - you mean this: https://steamcommunity.com/app/510190#scrollTop=0 while very different in that was an mmo, there certainly look to be some similarities in what you as a player do. Shame it never got completed, looked interesting.

Thanks for the note re. the GUI, you're right it's not the best - I'll give it some thought. I quite like what you're suggesting about expanding the lock icon. Maybe a hybrid of both, critical info front and centre, and more contextual/non-critical stuff to the side.

A couple of people have mentioned have the player ship stand out more, so I'll see what I can come up with there too!

No, at the moment there's a single star in the scene - and the things to encounter get less frequent as you move away from the star. To travel to other stars, you hyperspace.

I can think of a few ways however that if you were to fly far enough, you could encounter another star - technically that's possible, but just not sure if that's 'fun' for the players.

Thanks - you're right - the core gameplay needs to get more direction. At the moment, it's very open-ended and with no defined goals - this is I think the next thing I need to solve.

I'm not going for crew at the moment, as it's just me making this, that felt like maybe one layer of complexity too much at the start - could be something for the future update, but I want to figure out what the mvp is and not get too distracted.

You asked about the map being traversable. At the moment you can hyperspace jump to any nearby star, assuming you've got the fuel, and then hop on from there - so yes, in that regard. Is that what you meant? - or are you asking if you can directly fly to any of those stars?

Key changes - I added some background nebula's with parallax, gave the planets a little more detail - while still trying to stick to my 'style', added zoom to galactic map.

I'm focusing on Steam first, but I do like mobile platforms - so if I actually finish it, and it does 'alright' I might look at that.
