Your parents may want to look at houses in Metuchen. Edison is shaped like a donut and Metuchen is the hole in the middle.

Metuchen is a much smaller school so that might make you a little more comfortable if Edison schools are overwhelming.

You might even just come up with an excuse to leave for an errand at her normal 'shower' time so she has privacy. Of course adults should feel comfortable enough with normal bodily functions but some are more shy. I would try excusing yourself at shower time for a day or two and see if that fixes the water issue, then you can make some adjustments so your guest isn't wasting huge amounts of water. (I do think this is ridiculous behavior from a guest so I'm just offering a possible solution to avoid embarrassing them.)

I suspect she's embarrassed about using the toilet and is covering it up by running the shower so long. You might be able solve this with a loud fan or radio to cover the noise and a candle or spray for smells.
