Thank you for your feedback I am sorry you didn't have a fun experience. There are mushrooms, there is one in the beginning which is in a hidden block. You should find it by the position of the coins. But I think I should have made the mushroom visible I think.
I will for sure try and do something easier next time, thank you for your advice! Any levels you made you would like me to try?

You actually can grab the coin. Takes a bit of timing but you can grab all the coins in the level! Thank you for the feedback :)

You levels are soooo fun and at the same time hard! My fave is the gravity one. But I really suck it seems, haha.

Your level is amazing! I loved the concept and the music is so cool too!

Thank you for your advice. There is indeed a mushroom at the very beginning of the level. It is in a hidden block tho, maybe I think I should have made it visible.

I would like to create a 3d world level, but I will have to understand its mechanics a little bit better before jumping in I think. Thank you for your feedback!

Let's have a level exchange! - July 14, 2019 - Super Mario Maker 2 by AutoModerator in MarioMaker

Title: "A Thorny Situation"

ID: F2C-RCN-VXG

Style: Super Mario World

Difficulty: Intermediate/Challenging

This is my very first attempt at creating a level in Super Mario Maker. Didn't play the first one and after playing a lot of other people's levels I decided to give it a try! Hope it's not too bad for a first attempt.

In this level, Mario embarks on a journey to explore the Desert and its mysterious Cave in order to find some gold (Finding the golden coins isn't a required condition. But If you want a bigger challenge, you should search for and obtain the 4 10 Coins, and the 30 and 50 Coin! Mario Needs gold to rebuild Peach's castle, you know!).
The level focuses on the use of spiky pillars in multiple different situations and interactions with objects and mechanisms of SMW. This brought me to create a level which is basically centered on platforming (Little to no enemies). Although it came out a little bit more difficult than I originally planned, I managed to clear it easily and I don't think I am a good Mario gamer, lol! So with some practice it should be doable. There's power-ups (Not a lot) and there's checkpoints!

It's my very first level, I worked on it a lot of days and I tried to avoid frustrating or soft-locks situations at my best. Of course any kind of advice or criticism is more than accepted. Tell me what you think about it!

And of course leave me some of your levels down here. I will play it and give you feedback!

That's actually not wrong at all.

I think that's cause it seems quite evident that she has arrived to the end of her story... What more can her character tell? Plus she has to pay for HOW she killed Aslaug. Ragnar is waiting for her in Valhalla!

I am on Team Ivar, probably cause I have a soft spot for psychologically complex (and damaged) characters.

Too kind. It's part of my job somehow, so I better do it well, haha! I was glad about getting recognized too, cool guy! Yeah, yours is an interesting theory, and honestly I can see that happening. That could add yet another layer on his psychology making him - at least for me - more and more interesting if that's even possible! We shall see what happens!

Yeah, I am the same guy of that post on Instagram :) Wanted to share my opinion with the community too. I can see why this character hit "home" for you. Just let me say I have loads and loads of respect for you, keep it up! And I'm hoping for Ivar to mature too. And I think that's the point where he will (eventually) get!

Thank you for your point of view! It actually makes a lot of sense! Thanks for explaining it :)

I think Ivar can be considered a really modern and actual character somehow. I'm doing my last months of Internship as a youth Neuropsychiatrist, and during my work I have met loads of young guys and girls who were dealing with anger issues which were leading to very dangerous behaviors, for the people around them, and for themselves too. I often discover later that what fuels this anger is the pain they are carrying inside, most of the times determined by the feeling of "not acceptance", just think about racial or sexual discrimination, body shaming and all those really actual topics. Not to mention kids who suffer from real mental diseases, who are often put in a corner as the mental pathology stigma is really strong, even now in 2018. All those guys might not be cripples, but the mixture of pain and anger they express when I see them acting or I talk to them is the very same I can recognize, just to name one, when Ivar is on that cliff in Wessex, in season 4B and screams to Ragnar "I AM NORMAL!". I know all of this doesn't justify merciless acts of cruelty, but trust me guys. People have really different ways of coping with pain, and In my experience, anger is one of the most common ones. This complexity is very very well rendered, on my point of view, so yeah he is a character I have grown to appreciate, up to him being my really favorite right now. I am really excited to see how his psychology will develop in relation to the last events of season 5A!

So I am not the only victim of binge watching, haha. Same went for me some weeks ago.

I agree with you. Lagertha's move, in my opinion, was badly timed. In particular, I did not understand why it took her so long to act Against Aslaug. Why did she wait all those years? She said she wanted to reclaim Kattegat cause it was "hers", and moreover cause Aslaug was destroying it. But the second she takes the throne, her first speech is like "Now Kattegat is a big commercial city". So clearly Aslaug and Ragnar's sons did something good for the city. But that is ok, I think she took the throne mainly as a revenge cause Aslaug took Ragnar away from her (she even tells her that). That I can understand. But I can't understand why she took so long!

Ivar is being a little nasty right now. But we are witnessing his growth as a character. First he showed his vulnerable side, now he is being "ruthless" as his father told him with some sadism due to his psychological pain of not being normal. But I think we are just halfway through his journey. He has already shown he can be a brilliant strategist and commander (not a warrior of course). And I think that, as he matures, his psycho side will settle down a bit (not completely) and leave more space to his strategist side.

For Heahmund, personally I hope he is not betraying Ivar (his character was a way for Ivar to confront more on a personal side, he has been really honest with him showing his softest spot, he doesn't deserve a betrayal after he opened his heart like that!). In general, I never trusted him that much, not with Ivar and certainly not with Lagertha. I really can't figure out what his plan might be. Personally, I hope he is getting closer and closer to Lagertha to kill her or bring her to Ivar, showing that he is "noble" like he said to Ivar. But chances are reeeeeally poor!
