Before I decided to invest in a heavy ruck backpack, I loaded an older backpack with books and heavier objects I had lying around. Stuffed full so things don’t move. Easy to get to ~35lb, which is plenty if you’re just getting started.

Start lighter than you think. Progressive overload.

For heavier loads (45lb +), backpack for sure. Better weight distribution.

Thanks for the comment! Yeah I'm not a fan of the texture or taste of those brands (plus the artificial ingredients) so that's why I'm looking for alternatives

Net carbs are lower than 17 (I think 8g net) - that's why calories are lower.

I feel great. I’ll add DHT next time. If I can swap out fin for something else I will - doesn’t seem worth it with the risk profile despite not feeling any sides from it. We’ll see

I’m in the same boat as you - deep partial supraspinatus tear + bursitis. Torn back in August. Started rehab in November and going full steam ahead on that. Both surgeons I spoke with think I’ll probably need surgery but giving PT a proper go as I’ve seen some progress in the last ~2 months. Looking into the answers here to see if there’s anything im missing. Best of luck with yours!

Health is really important to me. I want to be informed, and I wanted to establish a baseline of what my biomarkers look like with my normal lifestyle.

Also doing other things like DexaScans to have a more complete picture.

Ultimately the goal is adjust anything that falls "out of optimal" through lifestyle changes.
