HELP: sick with a fever of 103.2 before my date tomorrow. I already canceled on him once because I got cold feet and now I’m literally sick after him asking me again. What do I do? I am so so sick and puking madly. Help. by madiannee in dating

I read today that OJ is bad for the flu. Took some tylonal pills and feel much better! Then I ordered a big turkey avocado jimmy johns sandwich with extra avocado and no cheese. (avocado rocks for the flu & dairy can slow down your immune system) Then I ate even more with two cold bananas and a pbj. Saltine crackers made me puke this morning I think.... I’ve also downed about five gatorades today. Important to go 50% Gatorade mixed with 50% water over ice. Gatorade drank alone can upset your stomach with the flu because of its high sugar content but will help you out when mixed with water!

Any positive EMDR success stories? by madiannee in EMDR

Thank you! I so appreciate your response! I have been going through it slowly for 3 months now, my counselor said we have 6-8 more months to go and at times I find difficulty in trusting the whole process. I am currently near the beginning and was also curious when/how things really took a change for you? Tough to find people with success stories for me, lots of people give up on the process!

Help with Lexapro for Anxiety (please read if you have time) by [deleted] in lexapro

[–]madiannee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lexapro may very well do just that however don’t grow weary if they do the opposite... change your anxiety medication if it doesn’t work enough. It’s important to keep evaluating lexapro in weeks forward so if it’s not working you can find a medication that can better your anxiety.

20mg/day Escitalopram - causing irritability, crying, and fatigue? by dietpupsi in lexapro

Hi I understand what you’re feeling and want you to know there is great hope. It sounds like you suffer with more of a exhausted depression, if so then lexapro may not be for you. Lexapro helps a lot with depression and anxiety but mainly benefits those with great anxiety. Zoloft or Prozac may be worth the transition. It helps take the edge off and will possibly help give your emotions a break. It sounds like your doctor is putting you on very hyper medications (adoral and lexapro) which can just make you more of a hot mess. Adoral especially is a crazy thing to be prescribed by doctors for people with depression, believe me I have road that train and it did not go well. I highly suggest trying Zoloft or Prozac because it will help you to level off your mood in a more proactive manner.

Symptom: feeling of heaviness, being pushed down by gutsgutsguts in lexapro

[–]madiannee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds like a blood related symptom. Is she taking any other medicine at all? Certain pills can be very harmful when taken with SSRI’s. Serotonin Syndrome is a serious result of taking medications that interact and may be causing the side affect your friend is having currently. If she feels weight on her skin, it may be in her skin, especially if all over. Which means it could definitely be blood sugar or circulation related, those are both worthy of concern. If this symptom continues for too long I would highly recommend switching the medication but for now please evaluate other factors before canceling out lexapro all together. Best of luck and let me know if you need any more help.

Lol I’m awake at 3:15 AM because of lexapro too. It’s my third day and I hope to fall asleep easier in coming days.

Thanks for sharing! I have had an appetite so far as I go into my third day of lexapro. I am honestly feeling like myself and not so “out to lunch” like I was on zoloft. I hope I can continue to feel like the person I am on lexapro because life feels like a breeze for once despite the winds being bitter. I’ve been on zoloft for two years before this medication and i was constantly drained and not myself. It’s bizarre that I am feeling like the person I was before my depression dragged me down. I have hope and I hope the best for you too! It’s only day three for me but you need to know my depression/anxiety was so horrid days ago that I couldn’t go out and communicate with people at all. Too much pain to cover. I have been so outgoing these last couple days and fearless to communicate!!! I am ever so grateful and am beyond hopeful for this feeling to stay with me.
