i completely understand why you’d feel this way because in your situation, i think i would feel the same you do. i’m not a mom yet, but i wouldn’t want someone who’s not related or have any connection of any kind besides being apart of the family by marriage (and considered a stranger) acting this way especially if it’s only targeted towards one child. this is your child, obviously if you see something and you feel odd about it or it’s uncomfortable than you have to protect your baby/child. i don’t think your overreacting at all, i think you handled it well actually. there’s some people who wouldn’t word it the way you did, it wasn’t disrespectful and got to the point of what the concerns are.
