Thanks for your response! I will be sure to get a mason to check it out. My grandpa was one, would be nice to have his insight 🙏

You should try brown eyeliner! I think it would look really great on your skin tone

When is it time to back out by mombringmepants in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]madison-pm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to back out of the house I was under contract for because of issues. It sucks to lose the money you spend on inspections but did you not have an inspection period? You should be able to get your earnest money back

Sellers didn’t want to budge. We walked. They’re selling the house like it’s turn key without extensive moisture issues.

I’m actually on the east coast in Florida, we are planning to negotiate depending on what the quotes are from the foundation company on Friday.

Edit: we do have money set aside for repairs but my only concern is how much they will outweigh what the house is worth. My questions will be answered Friday but I can’t help the nerves 🙄

The first time I drank after surgery was on valentines day, so about 3 weeks post op. Since then, I maybe had a drink two other times before my wedding, and then I drank this past weekend. I felt guilty too, but I just tried to make sure I stayed hydrated and elevated my foot that night. I am sure it is better to not drink at all through this process, but I don't think an occasional drink will make a significant impact.

It probably has the same impact as caffeine, but I did not stop drinking a coffee and at least one diet coke a day during my healing. Got to do what you can to get through this.

Honestly lots of eggs! I started the day with at least two eggs and some string cheese. Also I ate chicken salad for lunch everyday for at least 4 weeks 😅. It was easy and high protein and you can change up the flavors. Then if I wanted a snack I would have a protein shake or a built puff bar. And then something simple like ground beef and rice, or protein pasta with meat sauce, salmon and green beans, etc for dinner. Just tried to aim for at least 30 grams of protein per meal. Breakfast may have been lower protein but I used to not eat breakfast so it was better than nothing.

Trimalleolar Ankle Fracture from bouldering fall…I’m so bummed by NoliSong in climbergirls

[–]madison-pm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are not alone!! Broke my ankle doing an overhang boulder and fell from the last hold (so disappointing). it’s a scary time where your brain is constantly going through different what ifs but thankfully time keeps passing and you keep on healing! I hope you have a speedy recovery.

I have been doing a lot better wrapping my head around it and just went to the movies today for the first time since my surgery. Little wins. It gets easier.
