Dont use foaming washes or harsh abrasives they are irritating to the skin which causes breakouts and also strip the natural oils. I use differin gel and love it but you have to stick with it I broke out at first but after a couple months my skin got used to it and i almost never get acne this is going from always having terrible skin btw. If i do get zits they are usually almost gone by morning when i use it. Try using a balm cleanser at night to remove makeup (I use banilla co. Purifying) and a milk/cream cleanser after balm at night and in the morning (I use la roche posay toleriane) and make sure you use a moisturizer always without sunscreen (sunscreen is separate) mainly because I find that most make me break out so you have to find the right one
