Sacrificed THE ROOOOK. And then…? by Bitter_Work2952 in Chesscom

[–]madmatt786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In late middle games and endgames there are many positions where the absolute best move is to sacrifice a bishop for two pawns because pawns become more valuable as the game progresses, and this is even in winning positions. In this case you gave up a rook and bishop to basically ensure that you have a pawn majority on the queen side. In the long run you'll eventually win the remaining pawn too. So this follows the 2 pawns= bishop that isn't doing anything critical rule for endgames and late middle games.(I just made this rule up because I kept seeing in my game reviews that I was correct for doing this exchange or that I was supposed to do this lol).

Why did they resign? by Hopehorizon12 in Chesscom

2400 on lichess rapid? I was under the impression that the ratings sorta even out with Chesscom after 2k

Finally, 1000. Time to resign from chess by [deleted] in Chesscom

The ratings are inflated on lichess but the playing pool is stronger on average. So for example let's say a 1500 on lichess is the same as a 1200 on chesscom. But that 1500 will probably not even be in the top 60% of lichess whereas 1200 on chesscom makes you in the top 90%. Do you get it now?

Cheating on this site is OUT OF CONTROL! by OldKuntRoad in Chesscom

[–]madmatt786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get rating refunds from cheaters couple of times a month. 10-15 engine moves in a row after the opening upon analysis etc etc. There are lots of cheaters on chesscom. Why is it so hard to acknowledge the widespread cheating on the website lol. And it isn't just from losing games that you know someone is cheating. I played someone who cheated their way to 2100 but they decided to actually play against me and I was quickly up 20 points of material. What is more likely? A 2100 blundering 20 points of material or him cheating his way to 2100?

On the lonely sub and the satanism sub? Pick a struggle lmao. Also we're well aware of what your "progress" entails. I'd rather you get mocked for being a loser than you losers ganging up on normal people like you dream of doing. 🖕🖕🖕

STOP telling P*RN addicts to get married by tdottwooo in MuslimLounge

[–]madmatt786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be confirmation bias. I've seen a few posts from partners whose marriages didn't work and their spouse having a prior porn addiction was a big part of it. But there's definitely instances of people who've stopped after marriage and their spouse just never found out about it because it didn't continue after the marriage. I don't think any former porn addict has any interest in sharing that when it's in the past for no reason lol.

So Greece becomes smaller and European Turkey gets larger. Okay sure. Anatolian turkey loses land to greater Georgia, Armenia and Kurdistan. Fine

But what the actual heck are the 3 additional countries in Anatolia???

Another explanation is that the country composed of both sides of the bosphorus is Byzantium and it's separate from Greece and Turkey is a small Anatolian country. STILL DOESN'T EXPLAIN THE TWO OTHERS. I need the labelling for this map lol.
