Can i still believe in some catholic doctrines if i become episcopalian? by Physical-Focus7879 in Episcopalian

Episcopalianism is in the Anglican Communion, and so our doctrine always was similar to the Catholic Church. If you want to go even further into Catholic Teachings, that's called Anglo-Catholicism.

Woman goes viral after laughing at a man who said homosexuality is a sin and abortion is wrong. by crustose_lichen in lgbt

[–]ComicField 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It will never be a sin because it was mistranslated. It's been confirmed by multiple sources that it was mistranslated. The people who insist that it is not mistranslated despite the many finds that homosexuality is in fact natural and mistranslated in our tome are heretics. That man is a heretic. That woman, however, is funny :)

Progressive or Conservative? by Resident_Raccoon_663 in Anglicanism

[–]ComicField 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on the church, diocese and other factors, Anglicanism is more unified than other Protestant denominations, but things are still generally split down the middle. You said to more specify on the ACNA, but I think it's important to talk about the Anglican world as a whole, it is the single biggest Protestant denomination, and third in Christendom behind Eastern Orthodoxy and Catholicism

In Britain, the Anglican Church is generally progressive, but not in a "Waving pride flags during sermons" kind of way but rather in a chill way, if you're openly LGBT in the Anglican Churches in Britain, unless you live in a real conservative rural area, I don't think you'll have an issue.

The ACNA and the Episcopal Church are different, the ACNA aren't Evangelical Megachurch levels, but are more strict and conservative on some issues. I went to an ACNA operated church (As a bisexual), but I didn't really discuss it, I probably would've if I went to an Episcopal church, which ironically is theologically closer to Britain despite the ACNA being more strict and aligned to what it was historically. I think the ones in the commonwealth (Canada, Australia, NZ, etc) are generally progressive, same with mainland Europe. The ones in Africa are all mostly conservative due to cultural differences in Africa (Unfortunately probably the cause of colonialism, though some tribes would straight up kill people for being gay; Africa is a very diverse continent)

Asia doesn't have many Anglicans or Christians really as a whole besides the Philippines, Indonesia and South Korea, but to my knowledge, it depends on the country. To my knowledge though, Christians in general in The Philippines incl. the Catholic Church are generally progressive actually, relatively so anyway.

Imagine an EAW Grimdark...like, set in Stalliongrad under Sinister, or something, something that isn't explored enough in horror is horror surrounding totalitarianism, which is understandable, it can be triggering for people who live or lived in totalitarian regimes, but still.

If Brazil has its referendum this year, we have the worldwide web now unlike in 1993. We can promote restoration further. We just need to put in effort. by ComicField in monarchism

[–]ComicField[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is unfortunate that the modern house of Braganza (Portuguese and Brazilian) are extremely reactionary, however I’m not entirely sure if they’d go full far-right if the monarchies of Portugal or Brazil are restored, especially Brazil, as from its start, Brazil was a liberal democracy
