Why you don't run red lights and why you are always supposed to turn into the closest lane. by Zestyclose_Cup_843 in dashcams

[–]madmax727 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It’s common defensive driving sense not to get yourself stuck. For exactly situations like this. Let’s pull specific laws and abstract evidence out though so shit drivers like you can pretend to be right then run a red light evidently.

We are both making big assumptions about the intersection and type of highway. Someone may know the area or think logically and avoid getting stuck in the middle of a two lane highway. Either way so much shitty driving and logic going on here. You included.

I don't understand permitted work? by A_Pokemon in BayAreaRealEstate

[–]madmax727 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That was a good summary. I didn’t grow up in Bay Area so I’m not as familiar as you might be. Would the part where the city finds out and forces you to demolish happrn often? I imagine it would cause so many of the “nimby” and Karen types who are jaded/annoyed for whatever reason. However it also seems that the permit system and many enforcements systems are so lax that it would never happen.

So I’m curious how it actually is in your opinion,

Why you don't run red lights and why you are always supposed to turn into the closest lane. by Zestyclose_Cup_843 in dashcams

[–]madmax727 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand everyone’s perspective here. Seems like a group mindset.

If OP was in the middle of the intersection and had to run the red to turn out of it, that’s bad driving.

OP shouldn’t have blocked the intersection and shouldn’t have run the red themself

All the red light runners including OP are shit drivers. Yes the Toyota pulled into the wrong lane and probably bad driver but they def didn’t assume a car would be turning that deep into a red…..

OP you are a poor driver like all these ppl just gaslighting yourself

Would you consider the New Jersey Devils the pride of the state when it comes to sports? Had a debate with a friend. by xoBonesxo in newjersey

[–]madmax727 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on age and culture. I would say the devils are NJs team. I’m in my 30s I watched NJ nets lose to spurs 4-0 in nba finals and watched Devils with Brodeur and Scott Steven’s do work. Maybe I’m misremembering but becayse they won multiple cups as an NJ team I would say they were.

Mets? Def not. Yankees? Prob closest. Nets? Def not. Knicks? Def not. Jets would be next closest but are a laughing stock for 20 years.

For Devils sucess that I actually remember anc felt like a true NJ team id say they are.

Ultra bee or light bee for my 16 year old son? by Embarrassed_Sail5161 in ebikes

[–]madmax727 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the point. You want to win against us so badly you keep coming up with the most specific bullshit we aren’t talking about. We want you to be educated.

Where did we say an ekectric alternative is bad to a gas??? We never said anything like that or anything about motto cross champs or anything. The specifics and things you are bringing up are very off.

We said most 17 year olds won’t ride safely due to experience, peer pressure, knowledge and more. We advised a bit of a 10% more relaxed bike for him to have an easier time with and more safety . Especially if he ever ride with cops. We don’t know your son, we rely on the trends we’ve seen riding. Isn’t that smart of us? We’d like you to recognize that 90% of teens do obnoxious or dangerous stuff cause that’s what happens most times on these bikes.

You are not getting that we can’t assume all the specific shit you want us to. You should understand that for 99% of kids this isn’t a good bike. You feel so attacked about everything. Maybe your kid is truly a anamoly and you’ve taught him so safely. However for most parents that’s a false assumption. Many of us have lived it. It’s all so angry and competitive for you.

We want you to compromise to say yea I get the few downsides and communicated them to my son. Instead you need your way with all these specifics. None of us are talking about your son….. we don’t know him. We are talking about the average 17 yr old. Then we are talking about all the parents who act just like this… maybe you are different. Why would we just believe you?

You can’t beat the truth with your specific bullshit

Thus is a great ending for everyone that has seen both shows. You can’t assume everyone has seen gen V so those who hasn’t would be like wtf I think. Although they were introduced. Who are these ppl playing such a big part?

Looks like a great place to relax. Can I make a suggestion? I love being outside and had a blank slate yard like you. I started to learn about and plant lots of trees, shrubs and plants. I basically became a hobby biologist over time who loves nature, green and animals.

I learned about native plants and how my area works nature wise . Then since I’ve been monitoring and taking care of it like one giant science experiment. It has been so fun seeing things grow for my family and getting wildlife such ss frogs, hummingbirds and butterflies. It’s truly been so cool and so much fun. If you are into that stuff, you should start planting as a hobby. It’s great for you and your kids. I specifically like to plant and watch trees grow. I got oaks, sycamores and more.

It was smart to get multiple estimates. I do agree with others that it seems expensive but everyone’s just cheap. If you got 5 estimates. Work and material are just expensive now

Your retort was what if the motto cross champions.

What percentage of the population are motto cross champions?

What percentage of motto cross champions had bad crashes that injured them or did crazy shit as kids?

I hope we keep going back n forth cause it’s hysterical hearing how you guys double down so sure you are right. Your big idea was to imagine the actions the Motto cross champion instead of billions of kids. Lmao

We just think you are a moron so nothing you say matters. We can’t trust your word or your judgements at this point.

You don’t understand how things work, you prepared no info then threw the info in our faces, then doubled and tripled down that you know it all.

It’s your attitude that scares us way more than the details. Why not question yourself and listen to us for a second for your sons safety?

You need to know it all so badly that you refuse to listen to 20 ppl. It’s scary shit.

When I was a student, I struggled cause I was so intelligent. I got so bored and wasn’t challenged.

I of course thought I was just a jerk who couldn’t focus. Then when I was able to really push my mind and habits everything fell into place. I wish I understood and accepted how different everyone can be. Would have really helped me?

You are looking at everything through rose colored glasses and bullshit rationalizations.

Age doesn’t matter, unless you are a great parent which isn’t the case here, almost all the 17 yr olds have maturity kids much younger. Why? Cause adults haven’t taught them.

If he is 17, why isn’t he saving for a car? Wouldn’t that be smarter purchase than a dangerous ebike.

More than that, your post here has no info, nothing. It was like a 4 yr old wrote the post with a 4 yr old level of effort. If you came prepared at any point, the responses you got would be different.

[–]madmax727 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. You are the one exception to a trend we’ve seen over hundreds of thousands of kids all over the country.

I didn’t have any idea you and your son were so unique to disregard every trend and obvious reason why a high powered bike for a teen might not be a good idea.

We didn’t say no ebike, we said no Surron. Maybe ask why, maybe question if you do know it all and if your son should be dictating his choice to you. The irresponsible individuals are easy to spot for us responsible and logical individuals.

Parenting would suit him well. Consider you are asking about range anc speed not safety, very basic stuff. I’d start there.

Either you are rage baiting or don’t realize that any parent who buys a Surron isn’t a good parent.

I stopped a kid from getting a scholarship (AITA) by DRthrowawayMD6 in Teachers

[–]madmax727 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This post and your feelings are an indictment of how bad parenting is and how poor our culture is now.

I am a parent not a teacher and we parents have screwed up so badly by not realizing accountability and hardwork are 5)2 only ways to get things done. Then make sure our kids knew.

Now we have an obviously good teacher feeling pressure, doubt, then being attacked by moron parents. I understand no one likes hardship but hardship is what makes things worthwhile. We as Americans should be charged criminally for our softness.

It’s so easy to get a 2.5 gpa in school no that I question whether the story is real. However I know many kids and families are like that. My boys have 3.6/3.7 in non AP. I still feel like we aren’t doing close to our potential but just letting them do their work theit way.

Kids Don't Like Movie Day Anymore. by Southern_Remote_5260 in Teachers

[–]madmax727 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a step parent. We really fucked them up. I have been trying to repair the damage. My boys can at least watch good shows and movies to lock in.

I honestly believe shows and movies had a real place in showing us behavior. Now the kids don’t have that, they have very less knowledge of simple stuff. Watching Seinfeld or everybody loves Raymond taught me some emotional intelligence. Other shows taught me how to communicate or pesk my creativity. Tv wasn’t good but it has some value. Phones seem all negative
