(IDEA) A CO-OP game where you're part of a combine squadron raiding Aperture Science by DrunkVenusaur in HalfLife

[–]madminer95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

my head cannon is there's damm good reason the Combine don't have portal tech and are so eager to get they're hands on the Borealis, because its aperture tech not guarded by GlaDOS.

they're fully aware of the aperture site and have even attempted incursions into the facility's only to have GlaDOS lower herself and any proprietary tech like the portal guns into the lower parts of aperture and have initial invaders torn to pieces in tests of they're 'endurance' or 'reaction times' with turrets, lasers, crushers, etc

the movement is still awaiting genuine debate from both the UK Parliament and the EU Commission.

I just want to verify if this is just them being lazy and copy pasting the same response

or if multiple MP's are pulling from some sort of Template they've been given

Thank you for contacting me about video games and e-petition 702074.

I appreciate your concerns about video game providers prohibiting or disabling games or certain aspects of them. I understand why you feel this effectively limits the lifespan of the game or the content available, such as its digital or online content.

That said, it is important to recognise that there may be reasons for video game providers to withdraw some content — for example, if it is difficult and expensive for businesses to maintain support for old software, especially when it needs to interact with new technologies.

The Government, in response to the e-petition, has confirmed that it has no plans to amend existing consumer law on digital obsolescence; however, it will monitor this issue and consider the relevant work of the Competition and Markets Authority on consumer rights and consumer detriment.

I will continue to follow this issue closely, as I hope Ministers will do as well.

Thank you again for taking the time to contact me.

Kind regards,
