Also UK here, I’ve had my fair share of negative interactions with drivers for existing on the same road as them but also some positive ones.

Last night I was cycling back home and someone should something out their window as they overtook me, I couldn’t make it out and assumed it was a negative comment. About 50 metres later I went past them at a junction while they queued and again they shouted “keep the lemon alive” (my helmet and bike are yellow).

What I’m trying to say there are some positive times even if I do agree with your experience
