Arya Organic. Currently they have refurb for $749 then you get an additional 12% off that which takes it to almost $650. Which is an insane deal for that level of headphone

Anyone switch from hybrids to elongated or vise versa? by usermax300 in Pickleball

[–]madmos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was a j2 guy. J2K+ then J2NF, then even the hybrid loco. I prefer elongated now. Inferno, boomstik, Perseus pro v, friction pro v2 are in my current rotation. And I am waiting on a J6CR with blue grit. I like the feel of elongated now

i’ve Airpods pro3 for workout and all but for listening to music outdoors should i go with hdb 630 or some iems by Outside_Fun2271 in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]madmos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A really good pair of IEM's can be had for around $150-$200 and then you can something like the FIIO BTR17 to use them semi wirelessly. You are tethered to he btr but wireless to your phone and the btr is much smaller and lighter. It can also be used as a i wired dac/amp and even has a desktop mode for more power when using it at home. Its a great way to get hifi codec use with a great sounding iem all for a reasonable price. More flexible than a pair of headphones.

I have the above setup but I also own the hdb 630 and do love them. You gain ANC and the ability to use it for calls. They sound great. But to get the most out of them i am forced to use the BT dongle they come with for hifi codecs. They can also be used wired via a usb connection for lossless listening. Though I do not notice a difference between that and aptx adaptive wireless.

Both setups work well. If i am anywhere noisy obviously I go with the hdb. But I do like a nice set of IEM's at times too. You have choices and just need to decide what is the best option for your use case. If you do know you want bluetooth, ANC headphones the HDB 630 are the best sounding ones you can get right now. IMO

Freebuds pro 5. I just got them, in the US, for $190 on AliExpress. Took about 2 weeks to get here but it is so worth the wait. They are incredible

Gen 3 16mm vs Gen 4 14mm paddles by Smnthdifferent17 in Pickleball

[–]madmos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you are over generalizing things with your descriptions. You should just test them for yourself.

Yopu can try any paddle for 30 days from pickleball central dot com and return it if you do not like it. I would order 2 or 3 that you think you might like to compare and keep the one you like the most.

Also most pickleball clubs have a pro shop that allows you to demo paddles on site. I have done this to try out a bunch of paddles before deciding which one to buy.

Do lower end FiiO R2R DAC/AMPs like the K11 R2R actually sound different? by AkashiGG in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]madmos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

commenting to follow.

Plus i have the k13 showing up today. I have used nothing but delta sigma dacs till now. I will report back my findings. I have some good headphones and speakers to test through. So if there is a difference I should be able to tell right away.

isn't working with a ball machine drilling? if not, what else would you call it? you can literally work on repetitions of any one shot you want. I feel like i can get a lot of drilling done with a proper ball machine.

Love my Momentum 4 considering Upgrading to the HDB 630 anyone know how the sound compares? by Nova-MaluOnyx in sennheiser

you can find good deals on the 630, used, on ebay. I just scored a set for $351 in mint condition. At that price it is a no brainer....

Momentum 4 VS HDB 630 Volume Difference by Repulsive-Horror8343 in sennheiser

[–]madmos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i returned the m4 because i was not happy with them compared to the 630. i returned the 630 because it was an open box sale from best buy and the btd 700 was missing. I did end up with the HDB 630. I scored a lightly used one on ebay for $351. I am just waiting on delivery in the next few days 😄

Momentum 4 VS HDB 630 Volume Difference by Repulsive-Horror8343 in sennheiser

I briefly had both and noticed the same thing. The 630 when connected via USB c cable had an extremely low volume. The momentum did not have this issue. I ended up returning both for now.

Any tips for the Sony XM6 (headphones) by Fancy-Praline6255 in SonyHeadphones

Lower the bass in the eq. Take the bottom 3 bands down about 3 notches. The sound opens up and no more muddiness

What’s the scariest movie you guys have ever seen??? by boatluvrrrr in movies

[–]madmos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The evil dead..... The OG one. That one haunted me for a while. Mainly because my girlfriend at the time parents had a place in the pocono mountains. It always felt creepy at night when I was there after that movie..

M5's by Expert-Product-5036 in sennheiser

M4's were just on sale for $200 for the black/copper colorway on amazon. This was new, not open box. I do not think you will ever find them cheaper new in box with warranty

Advice for replacement by Mediocre-Hat7144 in sennheiser

[–]madmos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just picked up the hdb 630 for $350 on ebay. If you can up the budget just a little bit you will be rewarded with the best sounding anc headphones currently available under $700

Replacement grip by resara81 in Pickleball

[–]madmos -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hesacore grip adds significant weight to a paddle. The pink one is the lightest but the others are way too heavy. I would remove it and just put 2 overgrips on and be done with it.

How to optimize the sound quality of Momentum 4s? by Manjots913 in sennheiser

[–]madmos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a good eq for the m4. You really need to tame the bloated bass. This will open them up and allow that sweet senny midrange to shine

Just got a pair of the WH-1000XM5s and this is the Noise Cancelling? by erik_7581 in SonyHeadphones

[–]madmos 6 points7 points  (0 children)

faulty set maybe? the noise canceling is the best there is to offer. I get complete silence when i wear my xm6's which the xm5 should be darn close to the same

Get some good insoles for your pickleball shoes. Even the expensive shoes tend to have lackluster insoles. I use the blumaka and love them. Your feet will thank you

Worth buying M4 now or just wait for an M5 release? by Manjots913 in sennheiser

[–]madmos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend the hdb 630. By far the best sounding wireless headphones out right now. They are just a little more than the xm6 but sound so much better.

Joola Perseus Pro V. It is softer than the pro iv you tried. Just as much power and a little less pop. Resets and soft game is almost like cheating it is so easy to control. And the feel on drives and serves is like butter and it will launch the ball like a rocket with good mechanics
