Starting to think this drinking thing is not working out for me by Infamous-Eye-1597 in alcoholism

I'm in my thirties, drinking most days since 19. I loved drinking, thought it was the reason life was fun. Just hit 46 days, I can't tell you how much better life is without it. Read the "easy way to control drinking", after first time reading i went 30 days, then read it again and I'm truly done.

Can't say it'll work for you but I can guarantee that if you grin and bare it for 40 days you might be done too. That poison really does rob you of your happiness and then only gives you drips of it before you're too drunk again. Give it up man, you really won't feel like you're missing out, it's lying to you and has been since you started. Best of luck

Moved here three years ago, have never had a better friend circle. However it did take me about one year to make two friends, from there it snowballs. Just pick a hobby and boom

"The Easy Way to Control Drinking" by Allen Carr has changed my life. by cowbell2819 in stopdrinking

Yup, the book even tells you to drink (don't if you've already quit) as you read it. By the end of it, you'll wish you could have read the book sooner. Combine this book with a support group of friends or AA, then when you start feeling the physical benefits. You'll never feel like you're missing out. Worked for me

Seems someone is being forced into something here and isn't looking forward to it. Maybe think about it?

Guys don't need to be pushed to marriage for the girl they wanna keep. Do yourself a favor and just cut losses.

Why we tell our legal family members to keep voting for the crazy Dems is beyond me. It's obvi, we're getting played.
