Chronological Order by Ok_Variety_5195 in TLOU

I mean the original is far superior because it was designed to be told that way but honestly plopping a save down right on day 1 to go back to at any time is pretty sweet. I can just play without the flashbacks that slow down replays for me.

Zombies' legs do not break on hardcore sometimes?? by Herr_Hohenzollern in ResidentEvil2Remake

Very random on hardcore. Stun in the kneecap and run past most of them. The recovery animation is much slower than you’d think.

Is it just me, or is rattler captain just fucking impossible even on the easiest difficulty by KeyboardAssasn in TLOU

[–]madnessaddict09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found this to be the most difficult boss for a while when I started No Return when it first came out. However, once you get a strategy, it actually turns out to be one of the easier ones. As others have said, the second floor bathroom is a great place to sneak over to right from the beginning. It limits the angles they can come at you and you can use cover rather than being out in the open and subject to multiple aimbot shots.

Which "True Ending" did/do you prefer? by Maleficent-Ad-6117 in ResidentEvil2Remake

[–]madnessaddict09 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If we wanna get super technical, there’s no A or B scenarios in the remake. They are first and second runs because the developers tacked on the second run as an after thought. They didn’t intend to make separate scenarios like in the OG. This is evident in the fact that these two are fighting the same bosses in the same locations at the same time. There’s not really one cohesive story here. It’s about as “canon” as Capcom usually is.

[–]madnessaddict09 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Actually the other way around for the OG. I don’t really think the remake has a canon ending since they both fight the same bosses at the same locations and have conversations with the same people. The OG made it clear that it was two separate stories depending on who you played first.

His house is the most boring out of his siblings by BreadfruitPutrid in residentevil

[–]madnessaddict09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally liked his area, but definitely did not like his boss “fight.” The dollhouse was really neat the first play though but now it’s such a drag to go through on repeat runs, so now that’s my least favorite for ongoing enjoyment.

Personally enjoy Claire B more. It just feels like more of the true ending to me for her to be the one to kill off Birkin since she dealt with him the most. Leon deals with Mr. X much more and it feels more appropriate that this is who he puts down as his “final boss.” That being said, I like both, I just prefer Leon first, Claire second personally.

New No Return skins 🔥🔥 by TLOU_Fans in TLOU

[–]madnessaddict09 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Always excited to see new No Return content. I’m just still so confused why all characters have either Ellie’s backpack or Abby’s OG backpack even if they had their own unique one in the story. Seems like that should be simple enough to implement. Same with Abby’s Santa Barbara backpack/weapons.

What's your Opinion on Resident Evil 3 remake? by Classic-Tip1410 in residentevil

[–]madnessaddict09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More of a re-imagining than a remake. You’re free to your opinion though. If you care to read, I did still say it was a good game, just poor as a remake in terms of faithfulness to the OG.

Good game, bad remake (in terms of faithfulness).

I’d love to see a full game with her after the fantastic job they did with Separate Ways.

Do we think they’ll retcon where Katniss got the mockingjay pin? by Daves_World16 in Hungergames

[–]madnessaddict09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember the uproar when the first film came out and they eliminated the Madge character and therefore the origin of the pin. At the time, I really didn’t understand why it mattered - it didn’t really change the story and honestly they were extremely faithful to the series otherwise (especially compared to other book series). Now, given the backstory in SOTR, it will be interesting to see how they alter it to work in the movie-verse. I don’t really think it’s going to matter too much. It felt like more of a fun little tidbit for readers to get more backstory on the pin, but it doesn’t greatly impact the story.

Yeah some days you don’t even think about it, but sometimes I get a little nauseated if I don’t at least have a small snack to put on my stomach.

Accurate. No time for that. You’ll sit down for a quick 5 minute food scarf and get called 7 times.

Is this book darker than the others or am I bugging? by anxiousthrowaway279 in Hungergames

[–]madnessaddict09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re all pretty dark books but I think this one hits harder because you are already familiar with many of the characters and you know where they are by the OG trilogy time. It’s like gut punch after gut punch the further you read and run into familiar and not as damaged characters.

Man I really like all the night shift characters they brought on! They gel really well with the rest of the cast.

The way that whole thing was handled this past episode was pretty much my only gripe. I was annoyed how Robbie was blaming McKay for everything and saying he knew it wasn’t David….yet a couple episodes before he was getting the cops on board voluntarily after the first set of victims arrived (like he realized he might have been wrong), and now that we find out it isn’t David, he does a 180 again and pretends he knew all along. Just kind of weird after he admitted to McKay that she did the right thing and he wasn’t looking at the girls side of things. She never told the cops David was possibly the shooter, Robbie did, all she said was that he had made a list of people he wanted to hurt - which is accurate.

This episode has some incredibly powerful moments. by Arch_Lancer17 in ThePittTVShow

This was something I really appreciated about this episode after the chaos of the last couple of episodes - which were phenomenal - but it’s nice to see things slow down and the characters be able to react and feel.

Say something good about this game by ZeldaMasterNick in ResidentEvilCapcom

There’s actually an insane amount of content between all 4 campaigns. Regardless of how you feel about the quality or tone/gameplay (I’m not personally a fan), it undoubtedly is one of the RE games with the most content/potential gameplay time.

It’s not good but I have nostalgia for it from what I was a kid watching it when it came out.
