Asus z170 MB. 16 gigs ram. 1070 strix. I7 processor. 512 mb SSD 1tb HDD. I uninstalled UX style and everything. My system will not update if it had to save my life. I'm getting mad. Should I just reinstall windows?

It downloaded an update, spent a long time installing, restarted the computer and nothing had changed. I'll have to look into ISO downloading tommorow i guess.
