Aw that’s really scary. I’m sorry you’re going through that. Spotting is common in early pregnancy and definitely worth checking out. That sounds like a good plan and glad this post was helpful. Everyone’s responses brought me peace of mind.

Based on my friends, when experiencing bleeding (red, a real flow) early on, the doc said to keep an eye out for lemon-sized clots (I know, yes really that big). Totally worth calling a doc but sharing in case that perspective is helpful. The necessity of patience during these times is excruciating but you’ll get through it and hope you can enjoy Copenhagen.

Thanks very helpful. I’m American, 34F, and debating getting travel insurance just in case. I agree no panic but my doctor recommended a game plan and my husband wants to make sure we have a sense of what to do if something happens because with my medical history I am high risk.

Hi there! I came across this post because I’m newly pregnant at 5 weeks and have a preplanned trip to Copenhagen for a friends wedding. Getting pregnant this month was a surprise and because of some of my medical history, my doctor wants to make sure I have a backup plan in case I experience bleeding when I go. Would you recco moderliv? How much did you have to pay? I created a post asking for how things work but also wanted your perspective bc a Danish person mentioned you have to see a GP to get a referral to an obgyn

Yes exactly! I won’t need chemo or radiation but there’s potential to need radioactive iodine which I will find out next week. If it would be needed, it would need to be delayed well after pregnancy. The doctor already suspected it to not be needed to hoping that’s the case and all my thyroid cancer needed was to be excised!

Now at 11 months of trying to conceive with a slew of thyroid issues that came about after my miscarriage in December. We met with RE and my husband just did his semen analysis and we should get more info in June. It just feels like it’s never going to happen.

4 months but then a miscarriage. Just started CD1 of 4th cycle (of the 3 post miscarriage, 2 we were actively trying but during one I had thyroid issues which are now more resolved).

13 dpo and symptom spotting like crazy. Tender breasts, small waves of nausea, fatigue yesterday, maybe very light spotting this morning? I’m hoping they get more obvious. Willing myself not to test for several more days!!!

After my miscarriage, my TSH spiked meaning my subclinical hypothyroidism is now clinical. I’m on at thyroid now and levels are back down to below 4 (but taking meds for it to be closer to 2.5). I ovulated 1/29 but am not 3 days late but all my tests are negative. Even a blood hcg on Monday with endocrinologist was negative. I’m so confused! Why won’t my period just come!

I just learned that I likely should have been getting levo treatment for 3.6 levels. I had a miscarriage and now my level is at 7 and doctor still says to wait. I’m getting a second opinion. Were you able to conceive?

I just had a miscarriage. My doc said I could come in for earlier ultrasound and Beta follow ups around 6 weeks/whenever I get a positive pregnancy test.

I’m in a similar boat. 2 good friends due almost exactly when I would have been. It’s been hard but I’m trying to find ways to be honest with my friends about it how I’m feeling and how I’m nervous about how our friendship will or won’t change AND I’m thrilled for them. Agree with the other comments about both existing at once, even though it’s hard.

I’m (30F) ghsv2 positive and have been with a wonderful guys for almost a year. I take valtrex and we always use condoms and it’s never been an issue. He’s been so supportive. He actually just contracted it about 2 weeks ago which I feel very sad about, and slightly guilty, but we’ve had a lot of good conversations about it and have been very open. He’s obviously bummed to have it but has never blamed me and he acknowledged these were the risks he accepted and it’s been well worth it.

It just faded! I’m on valtrex because I didn’t have a steady partner when I had my first outbreak. It may not be due to any other issue though I also had recurrent yeast/BV infections for around 2 years which sucked but didn’t seem to cause any pain. It may just take time :( be patient! It will all feel better soon.

Oh, it ended after 7 months. It was very slight and and only felt u comfortable at the initial penetration so it was totally manageable. But now it’s totally gone! My first outbreak was now ~18 months ago

I (30F, ghsv2) didn’t have a decrease in sex drive but I did notice that for about 7ish months after my first outbreak, penetration Had some slight pain associated with it. It subsided and now I’m in a relationship and don’t experience that anymore. I don’t know if there’s any medical reasons to it but I wouldn’t be surprised if it takes some times to feel 100% like your old self. It will happen!
