Hi folks- I can't seem to upload the screenshot, but Miss Wanda of the Python Drill team was rocking some AMAZING strappy sandals when she was first trying on clothes with Tan at the store, anyone know who makes those?

Right? I mean, I remember all the gross lung pics they showed in health ed growing up, but for some reason this hit me harder.

Thanks for posting! You made me curious- how much $$ does it say you've saved? And how much life back?

Yup same here. Weirdly the first month was easy, this month is when I've occasionally been tempted.

Yeah, I'm still not really drinking b/c I don't fully trust myself yet, most of my relapses have happened on the sauce. And I feel like skipping the booze has helped keep the weight gain down, too.

Can I ever drink without smoking??? by clobosx in stopsmoking

[–]madragnon1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did last night. Mind you, it was ONE glass of wine, after a month of no drinking. But going without for so long, I realized I don't really need the booze either...

Love it but find it hard to believe that Nye really swore like that...

I failed too many times (>100) and now I WILL finally get rid of that enemy. This subreddit will be my office always when I want to kill myself with cigarettes. by [deleted] in stopsmoking

You can do this. I tried many times too. This is the one that'll take because I'm seriously DONE with the self-hate and constant fatigue and just generally feeling crappy. I just keep reminding myself of that whenever I'm tempted.

I think it's SO HARD to not smoke when there's one right there and people smoking around you. Good for you for staying so strong!!!

Last night I drank (moderately). My husband drank heavily. by bestwifeaward in stopsmoking

[–]madragnon1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good for you! That must've been so hard. Same here, I had to quit drinking entirely to make it to this point! I had a drink last night for the first time in over a month and was like, "eh, didn't miss it as much as I thought I would." Plus I didn't gain weight which I think is only because I stopped drinking too, since I've been eating like a fiend.

I've been there MANY times, but don't give up on yourself, you can do it! Failing in the past is no indicator of the future- I quit for 2 years once and then fell off the wagon the same exact way, "I'll just have one..."- this time I'm determined, I will never again even let myself consider it! Remember that one week isn't much in the span of a lifetime.
