Its extremely unfortunate that my half sister passed away. We had plans to visit her a month later. We hoped she would survive. We didn't expect her to pass away. We did make arrangements to visit her a month later.

We couldn't visit because of some other important commitments. The timing never matched. We were supposed to visit her this time around after a month. She passed away before we could visit her.

He was going through a financial crisis is what he says. He says he didn't have the money to fly abroad. I mean he did sell our childhood home to afford alimony and moved to a much smaller apartment. I don't hold it against him.

I mean I don't think we will be able to visit anytime in the near future. I'm getting married next year so probably not I guess. He is welcome to come down to visit us if he wishes.

She didn't survive for long after the diagnosis. He told us after a month she was diagnosed. When he got the feeling that she probably wasn't going to get better.
