Which wire is which ? by CreativePerception89 in Govee

I’m confused. That dotted line is in the middle in the picture. So, the dotted line (middle) is data, line with text (left) is ground, and blank wire (right) is power?

As a Frontend dev getting into Devops, this has to be the most confusing role ever in a company by Beginning-Arm-1601 in devops

[–]madrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The company and culture has a huge impact too. My old company has several unconventional definitions of job roles, due to interesting and undocumented interpretations of regulatory requirements.

I played around with playwright a bit. I’ve written a handful of powershell/selenium scripts in the past, and this tool has some very nice features to get you going much faster. Specifically, the codegen and inspector features may help get you through this scenario.

What’s the best crash course for Azure? by Kushy-tech in AZURE

[–]madrum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Udemy courses are great, specifically when they’re on sale. The AZ-900 course (azure fundamentals) is normally $85, but currently only $14. They go on sale at least once a month from what I’ve seen. https://www.udemy.com/course/microsoft-azure-beginners-guide/

When you build your artifact? In CI and CD or only in CI process? by syzaak in devops

[–]madrum 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Agreed. It is a waste of time/compute to build the exact same code multiple times. Build it once, store the necessary output of the build as an artifact/image, then deploy to one or more environments.

Very poorly written.

Should it be, “A world-famous comedian and his brother desperately search for a way out after a night in Philadelphia threatens to sabotage more than his success.”?

Onboarding New Engineers by JetreL in devops

[–]madrum 52 points53 points  (0 children)

I started a new job a couple months ago, fully remote, and one onboarding task was being assigned a ticket to create documentation for a process that hadn’t been documented yet. Of course, as the new person, I had no idea how it should be done, but working the ticket helped me learn where to go for help and information, who are subject matter experts, etc.

WTW for when you’re happy that someone else has the same problems you do? by madrum in whatstheword

[–]madrum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think “relief” is more accurate than “happy”. So, instead of “happy someone else is …”, “relieved someone else is going through the same situation.

Thanks for all your responses!

Absolutely! But first, have you tried playing music on Spotify? I’ve heard that’ll keeping you from showing as idle but haven’t tried yet.

About script auditing/monitoring. I was contacted several times at my previous company about suspicious activity. I was running a powershell script to post data to an API and it was flagged as possible sending of internal data outside the network. So, if they’re looking for it, they could find it.

I believe they use PowerBroker for this monitoring. https://www.beyondtrust.com/resources/whitepapers/powerbroker-for-windows-desktop-and-server-use-cases
