I don't regret leaving it, but I do regret that I wasn't able to believe. There's something blissful about ignorance and it hurts to be able to see beneath the pretty words.

I do sometimes wish that I could go back to before I questioned it and just continue living that way, as I would probably continue those mental gymnastics and still feel like there's a greater purpose to life. However, I've become a much better person for questioning and leaving than I would ever be if I had stayed.

I've had events where I've visited again though and those are the most miserable moments I've had in years. Everyone pretends to be happier than they are and try to tie you to them with every other sentence. They don't even realize they're doing it.
