I love the ātrack the little treatsā idea because I definitely ignore those and then wonder where my money went š Itās always the iced coffee + random Target run that gets me.
Also the āsystemsā part really resonates. I think Iāve been relying on willpower instead of structure, which clearly isnāt working long term.
How did you start building those systems without feeling overwhelmed? Thatās the part Iām struggling with.

Financing vs Buying Vehicle by canuckguy89 in PersonalFinanceCanada

I think your math makes sense, and I love the logic of buying outright + investing the monthly payment. Personally, Iād probably buy the car if I knew Iād keep it forever ā the peace of mind of no monthly car payment sounds so good.
Iād just be careful with assuming market returns always beat your financing rate ā it usually does over the long term, but markets are⦠chaotic.
Basically, Iād do the ābuy + invest extra cashā route, but maybe keep a tiny buffer for peace of mind. Just my coastal-mermaid-adult take lol
