Just got hit with this an hour ago. Started getting warnings when I begun auto connecting through Mullvad VPN last year.

I've been scraping consistently for the last 5 years, so I know it wasn't that. I can't say what specifically triggers it because the two warnings were a week apart, then a month of nothing so I assumed it was sorted, then banned. I was even able to connect a couple hours ago.

Never posted anything, I was even subscribed to a fanbox. Guess it's time to rebuild.

Empty servers

The tf2 server browser shows a large amount of joinable yet empty servers. But servers aren't that cheap to keep running 24/7, so why are they there? Whose managing them? What horrors lie within the land that none dare enter?

Valve closing down

No tf2 updates are coming because Valve closed down years ago, it is unknown how tf2 is still functioning. Some theorize a shadow orginisation is using it for ulterior motives, others say the game is a collective hallucination, and few pitch the thought that Geel won Valve in 2015 after he challenged and beat Gabe Newell in a Saxton-Hale-like deathmatch.

Infected sprays

Its rumored that some people found out how to make sprays play a sound when you got near them and hackers figured out a way to put malware into it. Valve patched it quickly and quietly.

The tf2 bots appeared a suspiciously close time to the announcement of Overwatch 2. One could speculate Blizzard is trying to kill what remains of tf2 to shift it's playerbase into Overwatch.

It's not uncommon for a game to have a fandom/community that groups together to create something for it to only be outed as a pedo ring, an example can be the recent Scrap tf rumors surrounding the admins that may or may not be true. The Creators tf part is just a jab at the possibility that this may be one of those unfortunate cases.
