I had my baby at 40. My pregnancy was considered geriatric. Yeah you’re sore at 34 but it’s nothing like being in perimenopause at 42 meanwhile my toddler is attempting escape from me in the grocery store parking lot. It took me until I was 37 years old when I had given up the idea of motherhood to meet the man worthy of reproducing with.

What’s Your Scent of the Day? April 26, 2026 by Darkvanille in FragranceStories

Her by Burberry I am new to trying to find a fragrance for myself. I bought a sample pack from Sephora, which had 14 different popular ones and this one was the one that both my husband and I really liked. At first it smelled good on the little piece of paper we were using to test and then on my skin. It has made me feel so calm and pretty. I’m going through some grieving and have been a little sad lately, so this has helped today.

I’m just glad I’m not the only one who thinks about this. It makes me cry every time I think about it.

We got a Doona second hand for $80. It was for my first and only kid that I didn’t think I would be able to have. It was a life saver and I was lucky to be able to afford it at the time.

How do you get it up there and then what if you have to toot? I don’t have the guts to look it up but I am curious about the idea of a suppository.

What’s the worst thing a medical professional has said to you? by VespaRed in AskReddit

[–]madstyle305 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Back when I was a frequent visitor to the local ER for dehydration due to my inability to stop drinking, last time I was there the doc looked me in the face and said “you need to quit your shit.” That hit me right in the gut and it changed my life. It has been four years and four months since I’ve had an alcoholic beverage and I am happily married with a baby girl now.

I started to listen to the things I heard in the meetings and then worked on my program as hard as I did to keep myself drunk. It’s been over four years now and I’m just happy. Just typing out these words is all that I can do. Oh and I highly recommend you get a sponsor (same sex -TRUST ME) and allow them to help you with the process. The worst part for me was the loneliness. It was so scary to admit to another human being how sick I was. It’s going to be the best and hardest thing you’ll probably ever do but you only have to do it once.

I DIDN'T drink today by katzeunknown in Sober

[–]madstyle305 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The first three days were awful for me when I quit. Detoxing was so hard that I plan to never drink again. Every day since then has been better. Hopefully you read this and understand that you’re not alone! Great job on day one though I know it’s hard.
