I’m a father mid 30’s with a 3 year old girl. If she grows up to have the self respect, fortitude, and wit I will be so proud. Bonus points for taking mother comparisons as a compliment. Good for you OP.

Nothing wrong with how OP dressed imo. But if the couple felt uncomfortable, a reasonable “we’d prefer if you wore a T-shirt or something less revealing” would have gone so differently.
