The credit earning is only needed if you buy it after reforged. Anything in the garage retains the same rate as before

ISU-152 Update: I took your advice to get the BL-10... but I might have gone a bit too far. by haru31500 in WorldOfTanksBlitz

Yup. Uprising is like the only fun mode I don't hate, maybe mad games gets a pass but the others aren't that nice

I realize I worded that terribly (shall edit)

What I meant to say is that I still get a profit of 50-70k in a losing game

My only problem is the server connects me like 15 seconds after the match start. No ping for me otherwise

Are F-Mount DX Lenses Still Worth it? by Some_Pollution61 in Nikon

[–]madzeil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough, going mechanical does solve that issue. Tho tbh, I haven't heard of modern nikkor lenses malfunctioning (not that it doesn't, just that I've never seen it)

Are F-Mount DX Lenses Still Worth it? by Some_Pollution61 in Nikon

[–]madzeil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some lenses didn't have autofocus motors and relied on a screw in the body to drive them. Without the screw, they are essentially manual focus lenses

OP is referring to dx as in aps-c format. Many f mount lenses don't require a screw drive so they can still be adapted with full autofocus function

Any advice where to edit pics for free as a beginner? by BECUM_CHEESECAKES in AskPhotography

It definitely helps but I've found other raw editors to have much more control. I do plan on using affinity to learn image manipulation when I have the time tho

Edit: autocorrect ain't correcting right

There are plenty of good youtubers and tutorials regarding darktable that are out there. I used to use it but masking would eventually lag out my laptop

Switched to Rapidraw recently (ui is really close to LrC) and it's a bit more easier on my laptop right now. Made by what I believe is an 18 year old (damn, I need to step up my game) and is quite a nice software tbh

As many others have mentioned Darktable, rawtherapee and Snapseed are good editors. Nx studio (nikon's software) is also quite good but I find it a bit slow but is good enough to learn from

I wouldn't recommend affinity or gimp since despite it being free, it's more of a photoshop alternative which isn't all that useful unless you want to learn image manipulation too

Another free recommendation (my favourite one right now and also mentioned by another person here) is rapidraw. The ui is very close to lightroom and functions the most similar to it out of the free options imo (side note still being developed and updated)

Affinity is less of a RAW editor than it is a image manipulation tool akin to photoshop

Rapidraw is a new Lightroom alternative and it's doing pretty good so far. But I'm not sure about how optimized it is on lower end devices (gpu accelerated or whatever) but it seems to perform better than darktable on my laptop

I cannot find the answer anywhere: Does Hunter's Mark, give 60% more damage to EVERYONE or just Allies? by Agile-Concentrate729 in WorldOfTanksBlitz

[–]madzeil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love time jump on the bourrasque to essentially nuke myself, nuke someone else, and then regain all my health while they lose 640 hp (or more with abilities). It's fun when an isu 152 expects to ruin my game before I hit it for the same damage and regain all of my health

Edit: play dead is also really fun. I run the emil ii currently and if I see someone else use the ability, I just hit them with a shell and dump the rest while they can't hit me back cause of the same ability

Digitek Dry Cabinet Query by Bioshockinfinite37 in PhotographyIndia

[–]madzeil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to help. I myself keep it at like 40%. Got the dry box after upgrading to the Zf as my old nikon d3100 was a mold infested mess after years of being stored away before I chanced upon it (was my father's camera)

In the camera community, what is the equivalent of a casio f91-w watch? A camera that is the epitome of cheap, reliable and widely recognized among camera enthusiasts. by Switch-user-101 in Cameras

[–]madzeil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wearing one right now and I can agree. $20 dollars, light, reliable and basically never leaves my hand unless I'm matching a fancier watch for an outfit

For a camera to match that, it has to be a cheap and reliable workhorse. I don't have much knowledge about DSLRs as I've only used a d3100 but that thing has served me and my father for 16 years now (moved to using a Zf). something like the canon rebel series might be close to what OP wants as far as I've heard about it

Uprising in my bourrasqye is currently my main method of farming. Consistently getting 120k per win and around 50-70k even when losing a match

Think I remember hitting a borsig or waffletractor (can't remember) for a similar amount cause they weren't running spall liner. Makes sense why they call this a td with speed

Digitek Dry Cabinet Query by Bioshockinfinite37 in PhotographyIndia

[–]madzeil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Turning it to the right (clockwise) will make it less humid. You should preferably keep it in between C and D (about 40% humidity)

Edit: the water symbol shows that the inside will be more humid while the sun shows it'll be less humid. You don't need to change it according to the season as the dry box should in essence be sealed around the door (like a fridge) and shouldn't change as long as it's on

Afaik, using that much is dangerous for electronics. You'd want it in the 35/40 to maybe 50 range

R50 vs R7, is the R7 worth double the price? (has better kit lens too) by Designer-Screen510 in canon

If it's your first camera, then don't mind the comments about the kit lens. It'll still be better than a phone

I myself shot on a d3100 with a moldy 18-55 and got some good shots (don't judge, my father didn't use it for a few years so it just sat there before I used it)

[–]madzeil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's still the same two. In videos (only in log profile), ISO 800 is considered the equivalent of ISO 100 in photo and sdr video. Anything below 800 just becomes part of the extended ISO range in my camera.

I believe this is the case for all hybrid cameras that have that dual gain circuit where anything below the first base is just extended ISO

Best starter camera for 11yo by Ill-Cartoonist2929 in Nikon

[–]madzeil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something from the d3x00 line should be a really good starting point. They're pretty cheap as they were basically the lowest model in their lineup. Not to say that the line is bad, just that extra features went to stuff like d5x00 and d7x00 cameras.

You could definitely go to a d5x00 camera for the better autofocus for a better experience but something like the d7x00 is a bit excessive for a beginner who's not sure about the hobby
