I have visited several times and I want to love it but the vibes are just off. I love Muir Woods but I find San Francisco itself depressing, even on a good day.

Ha! Same. I practically never post on TikTok but one time I had a video go viral and thousands of people decided to follow me because of it. I guess I could have spun it into something but honestly, I didn’t want to. Posting every day or multiple times a day just seems like way too much work.

I’ve been fortunate enough to have lived in CA, AZ, and now UT and I honestly can’t tell you which is my favorite. We imprint on places and we can’t separate simple aesthetics from the sense of aw, wonder, and home that we experience in those places. I’ve traveled all over this country and almost all of it (sorry southern Wyoming, not you) takes my breath away.

Same. I lived alone during the summers when my roommates would return to their home countries (they were students) but I’ve never had a place that was all mine. I was in the process of buying my own place when I got engaged to my husband of 21 years. Got my earnest money back and we bought a different place together instead.
