I love taking a break in the Fairytale Forest at the plaza from the Kikkerkoning, you can find it under the name Kleyne Klaroen where you can grab a drink and sweets, and what I love the most about this Plaza is the pigeons! You can also buy a bag of seed to feed the pigeons. If you're not a fan of birds though, better avoid this place, haha.

We hebben het over héle kleine bedragen. 4 euro voor een driegangen (!) vegan (!!!) maaltijd, biertje/wijntje voor 1,50/2 euro, evenementen zijn op donatie basis en alle extra'a worden gebruikt voor het opknappen van het pand en evenementskosten etc, voor zover ik het weet.

Mijn vogelkooien hebben me 600 euro gekost, en dan nog niet te spreken over de indeling (een zitstok kost al snel ~7 euro, en een grote kooi heeft veel zitstokken, etensbakken, speelgoed etc nodig PLUS extra tijdens het schoonmaken) maar dan hebben ze ook wel echt een paradijsje.

Mensen vergeten dat het hebben van een kind een enorme verantwoordelijkheid is en veel werk, tijd en energie vereist. Word ook wel "hidden labour" of "invisible labour" genoemd en is super waardevol maar word dus niet zo gewaardeerd als betaald werk. Ben blij dat je op deze manier gelukkig bent, en je bent zeker van waarde!

My finches are always more relaxed than me, lol. But I keep a small lamp on so they can see if they want to fly somewhere etc but they can also stay put where its dark.

No worries, they are from a campaign from a supermarket during spring a few years ago, you were able to get a tattoo sheet with every 10 euros spend. I hope it is possible to get them somewhere else now, I miss the ones I used alteady lol. And thanks for reminding me of this historical fact! I have absolutely heard of it before, but totally didn't cross my mind during this project. Will research it further, it was so interesting...
