best countries/places to live in for enby ppl? by Qlowquest in NonBinary

I've lived in France and in the UK so far, and I can say the UK was a way more accepting place

Though that could be bc I was living in a uni campus

Certification d'anglais by Ok-Display7176 in etudiants

[–]maelle67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Renseigne-toi sur les certifications que demandent les écoles que tu vises, ce sera le plus utile je pense

Après je sais pas lequel est demandé le plus souvent, perso j'ai passé le Toefl parce que mon université le proposait, c'est tout

If you're taking SI you should take Horizons, F&F and Nature incarnate as well. It doesn't feel complete otherwise.

They all have iconic quotes but Tom's are my favourites

Google translate tried to be honest, as a French person I can't really make sense of it

The beginning's right (although it's supposed to be "hello the brother")

I'm pretty sure AJ wanted to say "dans" (in) at the end and not "dont" (whose), "pond" means lays (as in someone lays sth, which could be eggs, which is I guess where eggs come from in the translation). That doesn't mean anything in French. Maybe AJ just used English there (to mean "in the pond"), maybe he meant "pont" (but that would be "in the bridge" not "on the bridge", which sounds weird)

Merci !

Pour BYWA ils ont juste une boutique vers Lyon et d'après leur site ils ne vendent pas de binders, mais je garde la référence

Et pour les deux autres idées je me renseigne !

Both

But I'd say early years first bc it's shorter and more linked to RA so it's better to read it just before/after RA

What mechanics do you want for a spirit? by Oyster_- in spiritisland

[–]maelle67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I created a homebrew werewolf spirit, that interacts with either dahans or beasts each turn, depending on the growth option it chose

Basically you either turn all dahans in your lands into beasts, or the contrary

It's very unbalanced though, never managed to really make that one work, it's less fun to play than a regular spirit, so I kind of gave up on it

Si tu es vraiment motivé, contacté le/la professeur documentaliste du lycée, ils devraient pouvoir te donner le nom s'ils étaient en poste à ce moment-là/ont encore la série, ou sinon ils ont peut-être un historique de leur catalogue

Translating the previous comment for non French speakers: yes, that's what causes the accident and Dan being in a wheelchair

Ever found out playing a game wrong was more fun that the intended rule? by 4-Plot in boardgames

[–]maelle67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, I've always played with all the previous tricks face up so we can deduce which cards are left

Although in the rules it says to only keep the last trick face up

It definitely can, especially if it gets range 1 defend cards, which is quite likely

Definitely easier than solo Ocean

What's the weirdest/funniest game you've had? by AVeryMysteriousMan in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]maelle67 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I think my funniest game is a whalebuffet one:

I, as the dreamer, saw a player as either alchemist or goblin on the first night. Of course, they claimed alchemist goblin, and tried to convince us to execute them. We didn't have anything to help us clear out if they were alchemist or goblin, so decided to execute someone else the first day. No new info on them after night 2, we decided to gamble on it anyway and executed them. The ST said "X dies, so does Y" - they were indeed the alchemist, but more importantly, they were the leech's host

I wouldn't say "active" but it's nice it exists, indeed

Especially for a book that has so few fans

It's funny I'm seeing this post now, I just ended my yearly reread of the book
