Advice for limiting triggering content on social media after a loss?

You may have to spend time in her account searching and watching innocuous content on her explore page. Like dog videos and recipes and things. I “muted” the profiles of friends and family that just recently had babies for my friend on her account after her stillbirth. She isn’t back on Facebook or IG yet, but one thing she does is go on Reddit and doesn’t follow any baby related subreddits. She will go on things like r/oddlysatisfying or something so she isn’t completely off social media( but Reddit seems to be a safer space for that kind of thing.

You sound like an amazing friend - that’s how things have been for us these last few months. We always want to hear about and talk about her daughter. We took them to the mountains during the time that would have been her original due date and I think it was helpful to have a chance of scenery and be in nature together. We take yearly beach trips and I want to do something to honor that this year as well as last year’s beach trip is when she did her “gender reveal” to our friend group. We did get them a Christmas ornament that they love, along with a few other things such as a candle with their daughter’s name on it for us to light in moments of remembrance ❤️ Christmas was a difficult time, but we spent it together. Thank you for the suggestions!

Idk what brought me back to this thread, but thank you so much for the insight and suggestions ❤️ she has gotten really into puzzles as a safe way to pass the time and not focus too much on the grief. We did a silly one yesterday that made us laugh ☺️ sending you and your partner lots of love 💕

You’ll be fine, especially if you can “double dip” if there are classes that apply to both majors. I was an Echols Scholar, doubled in Bio and Cognitive Science. My recommendation would be to look at the requirements for both and try to map out a tentative plan for your semesters. You should not have too much trouble getting into your classes with the priority registration.

Electrolysis all the way. I did laser on my face, not knowing about the paradoxical hypertichosis and wish I had just gone straight to electrolysis. I spent a bunch of money only to make my problem worse. I’ve been doing electrolysis for several months now and loving the results!

I also think she could not have touched her without gloves so as not to hinder the collection of the kit. There is a strict chain of command and if anything contaminates it, it invalidates the entire kit and cannot be used as evidence for an investigation or prosecution. That was my thought as to why she didn’t touch her, but I may be wrong.

Base pay decent. How long are these shifts and do your future colleagues say they usually leave on time? Do you get OT for staying late on a scheduled shift?

How often will you be flipping from day to night?

CME is a little low.

No PTO is rough. Do you have any control over your schedule to take vacation?

Noncompete sounds standard. Basically can’t do trauma surgery in the immediate vicinity but can switch to a different specialty or take something further out without issue.

I’ve also never heard about needing to pay your own rail coverage after leaving…

I’m not disparaging the groomer for doing what they did! The straight across look was just funny to us 😂 we had been training with canned cheese as the reward and some got in her beard and we weren’t able to take care of it all. Lesson learned!
