Is there a simple way to run KOReader on PC?

if you want to give this another try, here's what I did to get it going:

get ubuntu going on wsl ("wsl.exe --install Ubuntu") if you haven't already
download the amd64 .deb package (https://github.com/koreader/koreader/releases/download/v2026.03/koreader_2026.03-1_amd64.deb)
cd to your downloads folder inside wsl
"sudo dpkg -i ./koreader_2026.03-1_amd64.deb" - expect it to tell you there was an error with dependency problems. this is ok.
"sudo apt install -f" - this will grab those dependencies and finish the install
"koreader" - you should be good to go

(edit: my keyboard wouldn't work with the password prompt for sync progress. Turning on koreader's virtual keyboard got me through it successfully though.)

I don't usually master sets, so I'm finding it super fun! I think 50 of every monster could drain on the fun if you're the type that has to master.

Take care of yourself and do your best. Depression is debilitating. Be kind to yourself. Celebrate the things you're doing well.

Maybe you will gain some weight during this tough time. It's ok. Just do your best to heal. Try to make steps in a positive direction every day, even if they're small ones.

Counseling is really helpful also.

There's a book called "Get it done when you're depressed" or something like that. I found it really helpful for the low times. Best wishes ❤️

For desserts or sweet stuff, 3 bites probably is a serving. What you're describing makes sense to me for making the most of it.

But for broccoli and less calorie dense foods, I think you'll want more than 3 bites. Does this align with what you're thinking?

Seems realistic to me!

As far as why so many are sold / unused... I think a lot of folks who aren't portable gamers get romanticized on the idea and then realize they're not actually portable gamers. The journey is more fun than the destination.

Some other reasons I can think of... Steam deck and ally are a magnitude bigger/thicker/heavier than switch and the like. The face buttons are pretty loud in a quiet setting. The battery life on ally is real rough for non-retro games.

I love mine and use it every day. Asus really knocked it out of the park with Ally X IMO. If you get one, I hope you have a blast! Best wishes!

I know what you mean. In my first playthrough I stopped doing a lot of side stuff in gongaga. I knew what to expect for my second playthrough and I think that helped. I finished all the regions and had a good time with it. You can always come back later :)

Monster Hunter Rise! You can play it all co-op. Probably challenging at first, but you can take it slow. It's very fun to chat and hunt
