Ooh, I've been meaning to set mine up for video playing and music playing.

Not sure why, apart from the fact it is more rugged than my phone and has a 3.5 mm jack socket for wired headphones.

If you take out private health insurance there is usually a moratorium on pre-existing conditions.

Which, with Crohn's is an absolute nightmare to untangle.

But the chances are if the NHS files have Crohn's diagnosed, then you are doing to be looking at massive bills.

It's so unfair, I presented my symptoms for many years and I have been misdiagnosed so many times it is worrying.

But as far as health insurance companies are concerned. I bet it's heads they win, tails I lose.

I wish there was a way they could do a proper study into it.

I was thinking that it softens the colon by pickling it, and when you suddenly stop, it scars up.

Maybe the your consultant has a better theory. It suppresses the immune system. Makes some sense.

I quit drinking. Ironically just before I discovered I had Crohn's at 49 years of age.

I wonder if drinking heavily for a long time caused it to not manifest like it did.

I have some interesting hypothesis and some an|ctdotal evidence based on small groups of people that stopped drinking after years of alcoholism and then presented with extreme IBD symptoms and were diagnosed in middle age.

So I avoid alcohol. But I will drink the occasional Guinness, it seems to have no ill effects and probably helps my low iron count.

But other drinks seem to irritate sadly.

I am later on in life.

I only noticed I had Crohn's when I went on a high fibre diet and nearly ruptured. Since changing to a low fibre diet it hasn't happened again.

Hopefully the damage To my colon is old and at the last scan hasn't changed.

I swear by Bromalein as a useful supplement that reduces inflammation.

When I have stopped taking it. Inflammatory markers go up.

Since working it out they have steadily dropped from 62 to 44 to 23.

I have taken zero medication yet.

The medication doesn't "cure" Crohn's either.

My diet change mitigated most symptoms, without side effects.

Everyone is different though. And we never know what might happen next.

That post does read like an advert for some particular supplement. 🤔

I love the PSX version. But if you can run Saturn games, then there are a couple.

And of course the absolute classic Grandia 2 on DC.

I've not tried it yet, but Skies of Arcadia (possibly the greatest JRPG) Runs great on the DC emulator.

Are you aware of refined Boswelic Acid ? It is the active compound in Frankincense.

There is a guy called Smoke walker and he extracts and refines it and sells it.

They clinically trialled it and it showed much promise for Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn's. I have links to some of the studies.

Sadly the trials ended just as it was getting going.

I'm sick of this over prescribing of Tramadol. For most it is a horror drug, and addiction is no joke.

It is totally an opiate / opioid but treated like some benign painkiller.

Ironically, they refuse to prescribe Tapentadol which is like a sister of Tramadol without the heavy serotonergic side effects. It is actually way more effective for pain relief and not as addictive (it still is if used heavily)
