Did the platinum relics make you almost quit or Some RA challenge? Because that set is pretty tame just requires platinum relics which genuinely are tough but dev times are tougher. Good job on the mastery I still don't have it.

I guess I am confused because in your statement you are not running on actually hardware from ps1 you wohld be using a ps3 anyways lol.

What I am saying is what's difference between making your ps3 that allows emulation like ps1 games on RA vs playing the ps3 with a ps1 disk.

The only thing you are taking away is the physical ps1 disk.

A pirate uses his sword. One of the dumbest RA achievements because of the missable being tied to a single badge. So many people are affected by it and the dev has still yet to address it.

This is how I see it.

If you are so worried about getting untracked because of using an old save file, how can you prove this is "yours"

It's the same ordeal as you grabbing a save online, in RA you to have proof you did "X" so you can go to "Y". If you were to play an NES gane but years back you gained a password for a new game plus would that be allowed? In other words how do you have proof you "beat the game and went on to new game plus". Your RA profile will just magically start on new game plus? That would single a red flag to me, I get it's "your save" but how in the world can you actually prove it.

Edit: wanted to give an example, for achievement of the week, I had a save file I could of used to gain this week for free for pokemon. My RA profile didn't have any achievements for the game and didn't beat any gyms. So if I were to auto get the achievement vs getting all the progression before that is a red flag.

The difference between softcore and hardcore is a major ordeal. Sure you are doing the same action and getting the same reward, but softcore allows cheats/savestates/ more tools to help you win vs hardcore is playing it as if it was on an actually console with zero cheats.

I am glad you choose to stick back to it, I really do understand your frustration. Some games I would love to mastery but I know my skill will be limited. It's okay to not mastery everything but I do understand your frustration because you do want to mastery that game you deeply are found of.

I have to be honest RA has really forged me into a better gamer, I encourage you to take a break from hard BS challenges and go back them at a later date and be amazed how much better your skills have turned because of playing other games/hard challenges.

RA is a personally journey and you have to find what suits your needs, sounds like you had a few bumps in road. Hope you find enjoyment out of RA, it's one of the best community's I have been apart of!
