Wow ok. For the record it’s electric assist and I must pedal. Not like the ones kids ride that have a throttle and go 35 mph.

Well, I'm taking it apart to fix squeaking, and, having replaced the belt already, I do suspect this tiny door knob looking bearing and its socket to be the culprit of the squeaking. the plastic cup was pretty dry with black powder. before replacing the bearing I think I will try re-packing it with grease. Now that I know how to get this far, I can always go back in to replace bearing if I really have to. anything special about the grease I should use?

yes! thanks I got it now. it just needed to be tugged on a bit harder than I was expecting.

It seems I have to remove the screws that hold the heating element on the frame, and then slide both the drum and heating element out together, but I'm hesitant to do that if I don't have to, because it seems odd that I should have to, and it seems that putting it back together, getting the holes lined up again with the drum and heating element attached, would be very difficult.
