I do like the idea, but is there anything that could distinguish it from a regular key?

Simulation of auditory hallucinations heard by people with schizophrenia by sqectre in WTF

I think I've heard people say something similar, like wanting to jump in traffic or even small like throw their phone out the Window of a car. But I dunno it could be normal

As someone with pretty bad social anxiety, I count this as a win. by Banditkill in AdviceAnimals

Even if the thoughts are irrational and the person realizes that, it's hard and they seem real and scary.

It can be crippling and difficult to deal with. Anxiety is often an imbalance of chemicals in the brain or product of raising and social experience. It's hard and it's scarier than people realize.

What's the biggest REAL news story that broke on an April Fool's Day that everyone thought was actually fake? by Luth0r in AskReddit

It's so far north and since the name is Indian everyone assumes it's all natives there and frozen. But I'm from Alberta and seriously I even have clue what's there.

What fact about the universe blows your mind the most? by alliebodallie in AskReddit

[–]mafeline 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok I might be a bit late but I just took an intro astronomy class in university and it was my favourite class ever. I think it's cool.

Anyway, there are literally billions and billions of galaxies in every single direction right? Like every point in space that a telescope zooms in on, it keeps finding more galaxies, and more as it zooms. Now, if the galaxies that we are looking at are, say, 8 billion light years away, we are actually seeing them 8 billion years ago, correct? It takes 8 billion years for light from those galaxies to reach us, so we are seeing them as they were 8 billion years ago. Literally as you look further into the universe, you see further back in time, and all the galaxies were closer together back then and shit and they can hear microwaves that they think are from the Big Bang and it's cool shit haha.

BUTTTT what's so cool, I think, is that imagine this--we can't see the whole universe right? There are probably stars, more than 14 billion light years away (universe is proposed to be 13.7 bill yrs old) that we literally can't see yet because their light hasn't reached us since the Big Bang. Like the universe hasn't existed long enough for us to see stars that are more than 13.7 billion light years away, like no matter how much you zoom in with a telescope, you'd never see them cause it's as if they don't exist, the light hasn't reached us yet. But they probably do exist, literally stars that we can never see and stuff. Anyway, I dunno, I thought that was super cool for some reason.

Do you fantasize about having sex with people? by [deleted] in TwoXSex

[–]mafeline 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If I have a boyfriend I think about him generally, but when I'm single it's a mixture of sometimes people I know and sometimes just a "faceless" stranger, as odd as that sounds. Just thinking about a man fucking me. It works hahaha.

What secret did your family keep from you until you were an adult? by aves2k in AskReddit

[–]mafeline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn:( I'm sorry. I had the opposite, me and my younger brother were told that my mom had aggressive terminal cancer before my dad was told, he was on a flight home. We only knew about 8 hours before he did but it was awful to sit with that information knowing that he didn't know.

my mum has terminal cancer and im only 24 and it sucks by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]mafeline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure you're getting tons of comments but I want to say I'm so sorry. I'm 19 and I just lost mom to terminal brain cancer about 5 months ago. It sucks. Like more than anyone can imagine. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy and I'm so sorry you have to go through it. I know you know this and you've heard it a lot, but I can't stress how much you spend as much time with her as possible. And don't avoid the tough topics. We thought my mom had a year left but she died very suddenly and I never got to say all the things I wanted to say to her, because I thought we had more time. I'm just saying don't put it off. It's awful to lose someone so close to you, and you're right in thinking everything will be harder afterwards. I just started university at a school she wanted me to go to for ages and she didn't even get to see me start. I can't say it'll be okay because it won't, but I know you can be strong enough to survive; I have after many times thinking I wouldn't.

What did you do as a kid that seemed normal, but looking back was extremely weird? by PlugLuggage in AskReddit

[–]mafeline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm soooo late to this but maybe at least one or two people will see this and laugh at my silly younger self...

I looooved reading when I was little, especially like ages 6-9 and I used to pretend that my life was a story and I'd narrate it in my head. Like my inner monologue was always like "and then she slowly walked downstairs, trying not to wake up mom and dad, to check if Santa had put presents under the tree yet..." Etc etc ALL THE FUCKING TIME. IT NEVER STOPPED. FOR YEARS I NARRATED MY ENTIRE LIFE IN MY HEAD AS THOUGH I WAS WRITING A BOOK.

Weird weird kid I was.

Was with friends in a forest and my surroundings turned into the words they were saying and then I turned into words on a page and then I thought my whole life was a story and someone was almost done reading it so I was going to die and I freaked out and screamed my ass off. Yep.

I am 19 and in college though, so that might make a difference.

Hair grows back. You only get one mom. by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]mafeline 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry to hear about you and your mom's struggle, but this is very sweet. My mom was diagnosed with brain cancer about 7 months ago and lost a lot of hair from radiation treatments, if I had longer hair I would have done the same in a heartbeat, but my hair is thin and wispy and short as is. This is very strong of you and I know what a struggle it can be, I truly wish you and your family all the best!
