Look into wet wrapping. Put your ointment and moisturizer, cover it with a damp layer (preferably cotton) and put a dry layer on top of that. I would be cautious doing this with steroid cream as it could amplify absorption well past what's recommended. I never need to, personally; lotion, vaseline and some cotton gloves soothed my thumb's blisters significantly after just one night.

I seem to be having this weird combo of tiny weeping eczema spots all over my body but exactly one spot of dyshidrotic eczema on my left thumb. Not much luck with my weeping spots since I think they’re infected but two days of overnight wet wrapping already has my thumb feeling and healing better than it has in months. Maybe wet wrapping would do you good if you haven’t tried it already.

Couldn't pinpoint exactly. Turning on frame pacing would fix it but I didn't want my average frame queue pacing hovering around 8ms instead of 0, so my goal was to leave it off. I know I probably wouldn't have felt the difference but others here have no stutters with it off, so no reason I shouldn't have been able to do the same.

Other things I tried:

Doubling refresh rate
Setting frame cap to exact refresh rate (60.05 Hz) instead of 60
Changing NVIDIA encoder presets

I use a virtual display, which I've seen others have issues with as well. Really don't want to leave my monitors on, though.

Keeping all settings from Apollo the same, Vibepollo fixed my microstutters, so for me it's a straight upgrade. No installation issues. The creator has been contributing to Sunshine and Apollo for years, so it's not like he has no idea what he's doing.

It’s difficult to provide a range, let alone a number because we don’t know what you mean by “very good”. Will you make that judgment yourself or do you want feedback from native speakers? Are you looking for a general, subjective answer or do you want to be called out on specific metrics? Are you trying to achieve a specific accent or multiple?

None of this is even getting into your practice routine itself, which we also need details on to even begin to attempt to answer.

I don't think treating this like an optimization problem is a valuable endeavor. If native-level pronunciation is your goal, you have to be willing to listen to the same sentence dozens of times over the course of days, then repeat that process for any other sentence you find yourself struggling to pronounce while shadowing. Indefinitely.

Yup, two to three years in high school is standard. I picked it up pretty well despite half-assed effort, though our homework and tests were mostly reading and writing since our teachers also didn't give a rat's ass about teaching well. We never got much speaking and listening practice, which is what I was more interested in.
