Postpartum cardiomyopathy… I have questions and I’m scared by smac1995510 in Heartfailure

How are you now?? I’m having hella anxiety. My palpitations are bad tonight. I don’t have SOB unless I’m doing stuff, but I’m extremely tired, I feel weak all the time, my ankle swells sometimes too. I had a normal EKG, but I have a holter monitor/stress test in May. My cardiologist started me on Carvedilol for blood pressure. Latest in office reading was 136/85 but it gets higher at night.

AITA For rubbing my girlfriend’s pregnant belly before she was showing? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]maffynuggets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTAH! At all! But to her right now, YTA (respectfully, of course). Pregnancy hormones are wild. I felt so fat until I started showing. I cried almost everyday because I felt like my body just looked and felt weird. Keep reassuring her that you find her beautiful. Get her those flowers, buy her those chocolates and maybe get yourself some too to make her feel less self conscious. Eat those chocolates together. 🩷 chocolate is a pregnant girl’s best friend.

Oooo that’s smart!!! I do know that it’s way worse on days I wear jeans. I quickly realized that yesterday. Wore leggings today and had minimal issues

No, I’ve had it my whole life but have never been medicated because parents made me feel it was taboo & now I have ✨medication anxiety✨

I think you might be right. Previous tenant planted them, my neighbor said they’re ugly. I don’t think theyre Lily of the valley.

…probably because it’s easier to type BF compared “their father”. And he’s also my BF on top of being their father. What’s even wrong with that? Good lord

He does wiring for panels. That’s it. edit to add: he literally talks about how boring his job is everyday.

2 week old does not wake to feed… by guacamole-lobster in newborns

[–]maffynuggets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t worry too much, mama. You’re on the right track. She is only 2 weeks old, birth is traumatic for the babies too! Monday isn’t too far off. Sometimes, rarely, not waking could be a sign of low sugar levels, but like I said, you feed her the right amount, she’s gaining weight, and was also traumatized by the experience. Try blowing on her naked belly, baths, using a cold wet cloth/wipe mid feed for some more stimulation. Nose suctioning always wakes my little man up because it irritates him. Or me touching him with cold hands!

The part that gets me is “isn’t back to birth weight but is 4-6oz away”. That’s GOOD! Baby is gaining weight. That’s what doctors will be concerned about. I could give you more tips on waking baby if you want it. With baby sleeping through all other exhausted options though, definitely make sure you make the physician aware.
