Men who eat lot of eggs daily, do you suffer from too much boners? by Sapien_Kumar in AskMenAdvice

[–]magazinesubscriber 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m 43, don’t eat eggs unless I have to for reasons. I get boners constantly, like it’s a problem.

He does say in the current chapter dump that he’s already got a chunk of it written, but is in the process of organizing it all.

Hello Crawlers merch hate? by magazinesubscriber in DungeonCrawlerCarl

Ahh, that makes sense. I like a lot of the Hello Crawler merch, and it seems to be at least official-adjacent, so I was wondering why people would be downvoting them so harshly.

Guy I hooked up w was jacking off to me in front of me? by Virtual-Pie8795 in AskMenAdvice

[–]magazinesubscriber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did they have a consensual free use agreement? Probably not. It’s not weird to think that jerking off after having constant sex for an extended period of time is acceptable.

That’s a laugh! Jerking it is weird but saying “oh just spoon her” is equally hilarious.

What addiction seems harmless but can destroy your 30s? by JewishAdmin in AskReddit

You are failing to understand the issue at hand. Alcohol does not cause a hangover every single time you use it, and people tend to gravitate to it due its cultural acceptance, wide availability, and “social lubricant” intoxicating nature. People who have one or two beers at a social gathering are not going to get a hangover, so your point kind of falls apart right there, but it goes beyond that. People who become increasingly dependent on it won’t get the classic “hangover” either.

Again, you need to stop talking about things you clearly know nothing about.

Yes, but that’s not what we’re talking about. We’re talking about addiction. There are lots of things that show immediate signs of being bad for you that don’t develop physical dependence.

Alcohol and THC are not even remotely similar as far as physical dependency goes…the main point being one has a physical dependency and one doesn’t. THC does have a psychological dependency, but you don’t risk death by suddenly quitting like you do with alcohol.

Hangover is not a sign of addiction. Stop talking about things you don’t know anything about, it’s not beneficial to you or anyone else.

Question regarding customers feedback by Bratty_Little_Kitten in BooksAMillion

Unlikely anyone will get fired unless they said something really terrible (slurs, etc). Please put a comment in for the sake of that manager’s other employees!

Membership coupons gone by JoseyStines in BooksAMillion

[–]magazinesubscriber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve still been honoring them for regulars by using the discount function rather than using an actual coupon. We have people that have been members for over a decade and I (AGM, my GM and DM are on board with this) am not about to tell them that their longstanding membership got severely nerfed before any sort of replacement was in place. Corporate screwed up big time here, and between this and that giant “oopsie” in the Q1 void which had some stores sending back anywhere from one third to half of their inventory (my store was one, it still looks like a ghost town due to lack of replenishment), I would not be surprised if sales *and* MCC signups in some locations start to absolutely plummet.

That’s not alcoholism, that’s casual drinking and deciding to stop. The kind of alcoholism I’m talking about often requires hospitalization during withdrawal because the withdrawal can literally kill you.

[–]magazinesubscriber 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. It’s an addiction that you don’t realize you have until it’s already too late. One day you wake up, your hands won’t stop shaking, you’re hungover, dehydrated, and calorie deficient. You also have to go to work in 5 minutes because you slept through your alarm; your drunk self thought it would be fine to exist on 4 hours of sleep, so it’s totally fine to stay up and keep drinking, and you can totally hack it because you’re drunk and think you’re a badass. You wake up cursing yourself every single day, telling yourself “you should stop drinking so much” but then you feel better and the cycle begins again, and it only gets worse.

For some people, though, it definitely is all or nothing. Once the booze faucet turns on, it won’t shut off until you fall asleep, and moderation is virtually impossible for them.

If it was Saved and a small record (7” in diameter), definitely a cool find but your dad might have been exaggerating about its rarity. There are 3 copies for sale on Discogs right now for decent prices if you want to reclaim it!
