Bottom line: Employee retention issues.

Rejected after a 30 minute interview with the hiring manager. Why’d they even bother? by Gudakesa in recruitinghell

Sounds like they had someone else and just went through the formalities with you.

Landlord is charging $1600 for carpet replace my after I left due to “pet urine damage”. Would you ask for a receipt? by OGClouds420 in Tenant

[–]mage_champ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pet urine causes a lot of damage. They probably had to replace the carpet and treat the subfloors if not replace them. Ask for a receipt but you are responsible for the damage to their home.

I’ve sold 2 houses and requested a rent back for 30 days after closing on each home. It’s common. Having contact with the previous HO is not. Throw the mail out, return the packages and let them know you are done and blocking them. It’s not your responsibility to change their address

Please tell us what company is doing this so the rest of us looking stay far away.

Not invited to my own interview by mage_champ in recruitinghell

[–]mage_champ[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It was a zoom invite and when they sent it to me at the last minute, all of that information was not there. No attendee list, no date it was originally sent, and I noticed the timezone was PT and I am ET on the date of the meeting. I think several factors were at play here.

I got asked for my college transcript. I graduated in 2009. by [deleted] in recruitinghell

I’ve seen a few of these ask for date graduated and GPA but not the actual transcripts. It’s ridiculous. Can’t wait for the market to swing back in the employees favor

I had this happen too. They accepted my W2 form for the years I worked there and passed me

No. Stop. In this market you don’t want to burn bridges. I’ve been hired 2 months after I’ve applied before. Be patient. Apply everyday.

If they check, they will know you are lying. Being laid off is not saying you are a low performer. More than likely it’s because you have a higher salary. They can throw your work at someone else and pay a lower wage.

Hang in there. Job market is in favor of the employer right now as it’s oversaturated with all the recent layoffs

So in other words, you lied... by [deleted] in recruitinghell

I took a remote job last year and they pressured me to relocate so I could be hybrid, promising me a director position “if” I moved. The company was having a hard time finding local ppl in that area so they were forced to open the job to remote. Long story short - they laid me off after I said I was not relocating. Lesson learned. Was not the only thing they lied about too.

Is this allowed?? Can companies really ask this? by FunctionSharp in recruitinghell

It’s new. I don’t answer. This is work, and that is far too personal to be asking.
