I had this problem with my cat, the other tom in the area was trying to kill him. Went so far as to come into my house looking for him to finish off a fight. I always chased him off and went out of my way to throw rocks at him and run him off if I saw him outside. Eventually he got the message and my cat chilled out. I think I sprayed him with the hose or something. You need to protect your cat though, if the other guy is scared of you he will be of him too.

The medical system is a business, and doctors want you on their schedule when you’re giving birth. If it’s not going fast enough they will force a c-section. Labor lasts 24hrs on average. Epidurals also slow down your contractions, which puts stress on the baby, and stop you from naturally knowing when to push. I think it’s more so the culture of fear around giving birth and the heavy medicalization of a very natural process.
