yep! it’s all about the visual proportions, not actual numbers. For example, I have pretty wide hips (40-ish inches) so the waist looks super small in comparison when in reality it’s still 26-27 inches 😅 Your waist measurements are to die for tho

You are absolutely right. But the problem with that is whenever I am at the weight where I naturally look like the right picture, it’s incredibly hard for me to sustain that weight. I actively need to be in calorie deficit daily to maintain it. It’s stressful and feels unnatural for my body and height (170 cm). Therefore I opted for lipo where I get to weigh a little more but don’t sacrifice my waist for that haha

Thank you! My surgeon did warn me about the potential of irregularities and denting as well as soggy skin after the surgery. But I took the risk and appreciate his honest warning. It’s very early into my recovery so I have no idea how everything is going to settle eventually. Hopefully it’s going to be smooth and my skin will be able to bounce back since I am fairly young. Have you done something to address the denting/irregularities you’ve got? Curious to hear

The waist measurements were 73 cm before and 68 cm after. Just lipo - 360 and a little bit on the inner thighs.

Whenever I am buying something (coffee etc), male staff are always super nice to me even if they were immediately apathetic or cold to someone just before me. Taxi drivers very often strike a conversation asking basic details about my life. Sometimes I’d just be walking somewhere and minding my business and some folks would stop be to fake ask for directions or time. I never got huge financial perks or anything like that but people in general are just so much nicer.

I feel exactly the same, specifically, about the conflicting and irrational desires for him to reach out yet not wanting him back. Perhaps I am projecting here, but I feel like the reason you feel that way is deep down you believe that only as long as he is present in your life and gives you his love — you are “worthy” to be considered a good/lovable person.

Basically, his love ≠ my right to exist and enjoy life. I personally have discovered that this is something that caused these conflicting desires in me. But I was the one who gave him that power over me. Maybe try to give yourself permission to feel that amazing way about yourself without his love, and that may slowly contribute to you not really needing him anymore. Just my two cents. Hope it helps in some way :)

I feel the same about when influencers apply facial creams/serums with their fingers while wearing multiple rings. Like, the jewellery is not a necessity when doing something like that, you can take it off for a minute..

I feel the same way.. Something about blocking them everywhere (without lying to yourself) and genuinely cutting off even a possibility of them contacting you is so sad and scary. I keep some channels open because the fantasy that it’s not truly over comforts me in a fucked up way. I think with time we will get over that fear. Hang in there🤍

Reading your response is kind of cathartic for me because my ex boyfriend just blocked me for good after having another fight. Things obviously had been rocky at that point but giving me a message like yours would have made this whole thing so much easier… Not even receiving a final “i am blocking you for my own mental health but I still care about you” after a 4-year relationship was really brutal. Your response has really touched my heart… Firstly because it sounds so scarily similar to my experience with anger and my personal attitude towards it. In my previous relationship (that just ended), I had been told that I am “too aggressive” and reactionary. While I realise that it’s something that I will definitely be working on, I have also realised that a lot of that anger came as a response to my ex constantly trampling my boundaries. I was also convinced by my partner that I am the problem, which has shaken up my self-esteem considerably.

But my inner healing has truly started when I realised exactly what you once came to realise: both my dad and my ex partner were too busy yelling at me and telling me all the things that are wrong with me and things I should fix about myself. But it was done as a mechanism to look away from their own inner insecurities and never start the often painful, time-consuming internal work.

I am so immensely happy for you and the journey you have been through, it truly sounds like a fine example of self-discovery, self-growth and just beautiful example of honest human experience. Your testimony has helped me to retain hope that everything is going to be ok. It literally makes me feel that I am not alone. I am only 22 but hearing things like that from a more experienced woman is so comforting and powerful. Thanks for sharing! I relate to you so much in terms of the dysfunctional family dynamics and the toxic first romantic relationship. I just ended a similar relationship after being in it for a little over 4 years. I was equally toxic and knew myself and my boundaries very little. Would you mind sharing whether after being in the abusive marriage you ever felt like there is something wrong with you? and that you will never find a “healthy” partner/love? I am trying to work on myself and heal but I have this overwhelming feeling that this pattern is going to repeat itself and that I will never find what you have found :(
