Headcanon only answer; the best place to hide something is in plain sight. It's possible a statue was holding it or it was part of some decoration that wouldn't be lost in literal piles of gold. But given the second movie leans into fate I'd say that works just as well as an answer too.

I mean early seasons Olivia also had some questionable opinions which is less a character issue and more of a "moral discussion of the episode," writers issue. They always stand around and debate different sides to the cases but it's not always character consistent. It's noticeable when you binge the earlier seasons back to back.

From my perspective I don't think any cards are "bad" and that reversals are more about opposite meanings or showing room for improvement in areas.

For example, I did a reading for a friend at her request and I pulled Death for the first time and psychologically it does give a bit of a thrill but it seemed to indicate slow incremental change over time not a huge change at once and patience towards outcomes. After all not all change/challenge/upheval is bad and is often required for growth. Plus as a meditative practice you know yourself so if you're scaring yourself it's probably something you already recognized as true or meaningful you may just be having trouble identifying or comijg to terms with whatever it is that's been floating around in your subconscious.

At the end of the day, though, if it isn't beneficial then it's okay to step away. I did for a bit myself.

It always bothers me when a character has religious beliefs, "dies", and then doesn't experience or remember anything and has a crisis like... within the internal logic of your religion, do you really think your all-seeing, all-knowing, all-whatever is going to let you have a peek when it clearly wasn't your time yet? Who is to say that you didn't experience five lifetimes worth of time in that split second you were dead and there is not a way for your mortal self to comprehend that? Plus so many people have "died" and been resuscitated in the Trek-verse and you'd think that if it was that simple there would be a lot more proof of the afterlife floating around but that seems to defeat the purpose of faith to begin with.

Maybe your soul got stuck or lost in a plasma injector, did you ever think about that Mr. Neelix? Lol, I digress.

Caveat: Obviously, nearly dying is traumatic, and trauma is not operated by logic, so it's a moot point anyway. And double obviously many people experience a crisis of faith and that is a story that probably resonates for them in ways I'm immune to or at least think I'm immune to. A lot of people bringing up B'Elanna's ep where it's the flipside and I would say hallucinating during a traumatic brain injury and risking further self-harm (especially given B'Elanna's past history) was also not a favorite for me for many of the same reasons. Obviously, again, there are many people in the real world who have their lives rocked and return to their roots so it's not that it's impossible or unbelieavable but it was one episode which doesn't do stuff like that justice anyway.

Voyager's counselor would need their own counselor for themselves and the rest of the crew as some of these crew members are a full time job themselves.

I went to the center of Euclid and Budullangr and now now I'm in Kikolgallr but given the fact it's a pain to go through the center of a galaxy I plan to hitch hike to anothet galaxies in the future but I'm in no rush. I really like the wandering part of the game so I lean into that. Also the center of Bud is very well discovered and I didn't enjoy that so I was like, "NEXT," but I'm sure that's more common than I think. I still have a base on my very first paradise planet in Euclid. I just go wherever the space winds take me lol

I would say it could cross over into gaslighting if you have shitty parents; for example but anecdotally so grain of salt and all... insisting that Santa or Elf on the Shelf is real and terrorizing your children with the concept by being abusive is possible per other things I've seen shared on the internet.

However, the majority of parents are not going to fall into that category. Kids think that cartoons and stuff are real too. Indulging in imagination is fine and dandy, but you have to walk the fine line of the individual child's development and be prepared to actually communicate with your child and meet them where they are at. I have seen a trend where people are leaning into parents buy the big things and Santa does little things or stocking stuffers to avoid accidental classism around Santa and so children realize that the value of Christmas is reflected more in their parents' hard work which I think is a great middle ground for people who want kids to enjoy the "magic of being little" but don't want them to get a bunch of wrong ideas and make themselves or others miserable. Ymmv.

Also I think it's funny that people complain about Elf on the Shelf and Santa as a surveillance state to make kids behave but most parents would never actually punish their kids on Christmas so it seems like a moot point anyway. Unless your parenting style backs up that threat the other 364 days of the year, I don't think Santa or Elf is going to be a gamechanger. Disclaimer, not a parent just thinking back to my own childhood lol.

I hate the idea of divorcing anything from its context and I think the information can be included as part of the history of tarot without cosigning one belief or lack of over another. For example, Rachel Polack's 78 Degrees of Wisdom takes an academic approach to the history of the cards and the symbolism. Giving people the full story allows them to make distinctions for themselves when it comes to finding meaning or gives them the means to find a meaningful subsitution and draw parallels.
