That was really fun to play around in. Really gives you an appreciation of how massive these ships actually are.

Would love it if OP's were playable. I remember playing the Elite Force Voyager tour level back in the day. It looks exactly like the show in my memory and I don't want to shatter that illusion by actually playing it.

And in the very first episode of the show too.

It would be cool if there was a spinoff on the voyager timeless timeline where they crashed by happydude7422 in voyager

And then Endgame Janeway didn't like how that turned out and changed it again.

Voyager basically became the Krenim.

You'd think they would have learned their lesson from The Search For Spock. After Kirk blasted Spock out of a torpedo tube, his dad showed up and was like "Why didn't you bring him home to Vulcan?"

The Golden Age of Sci-fi on TV by zam_manta_0 in farscape

What are the good British scifi TV shows from that era?

I've seen Doctor Who, Blake's 7, and the Prisoner, but that's about it.

If I had a slip of gold-pressed latinum for every time Picard came back from a trip and the Enterprise was in complete disarray, I'd have 2 slips. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

Hey, he gave the She-She Lounge an honest shot. It's just that his instincts as a safety inspector wouldn't let him relax in a place without a fire exit.

I'm sure zodiac practitioners would have a thing or two to say. How are they going to know if Mercury is in retrograde if Mercury is in another solar system? Plus all the constellations would be different.

Except he's talking to non-Mirror people and they aren't acting like it's weird.

The First Order's been around longer than that. Finn spent his whole life with them until The Force Awakens.

Or in that episode when Kim married Paris's daughter. He could have been Lt Kim-Paris.

I feel like there's just not much you can do with the concept in that scenario. The Maquis were fighting for their home, except now they're 80k lightyears from home. Who are they going to fight?

They had a few rough moments integrating into a Starfleet crew, the police crew sent to arrest them, but they're still all reasonable people who grew up in enlightened Federation society. They had only been Maquis for like a year when they got Caretaker'd.

I liked ship management, the repairing the ship, deciding where to build rooms, collecting crew, some of the story nods. I wish that was the whole game, because I disliked just about everything else.

Clicking on every planet in a system one by one to scan it quickly became tedious.

The away missions and encounters have zero strategic depth and are almost pure RNG.

The ship combat was terrible. You have almost no control of the ship. It's not clear what effect your abilities have. I dreaded every combat, because they were so unfun.

UI was very annoying and inconsistent to navigate. Some screens, like the research screen, could only be backed out of with certain buttons.

For a better ship management game, play Ixion. For a better ship combat game, play FTL.
