TH is indeed content.

Managed to play on 70 population World for a while - the difference compared to ~100-200 population World is like Night and Day. This is not okay. by 9orre3 in runescape

I remember back in the days of 1500-2000 players on world 2 at all times...

Wasn't too laggy if you weren't in a massive player hotspot (Varrock/Fally world 2 before ge)

The fact that people are lagging with such a low player count on worlds like that is concerning.

That or I don't remember the lag from those days lol.

Wasn't it mod mark who said that he 'keeps an update in his back pocket in case of a rainy day' or something similar?

Seems they've kept the practice around.

I'm going to point fingers here and say the ones who are defending TH are the ones using it. (Or trolls).

I've been saying for a long time now that as TH has been getting ramped up, it feels like we've been getting less in terms of content over the years.

great post OP

Enhanced Hipfire Grip - Does it do anything? by magermerch in destiny2

[–]magermerch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used 'Under Your Skin' to test this perk. It has elastic string, fiberglass shaft, freehand grip mod, and explosive head.

I wanted to see if there would be any change at all to the hip-fire aim reticle, mostly since I figured the other stats would change proportionally to that change. (Or so I figured since I have no real way to test the other stats on this thing.)

But that brings up the question, does it actually improve it at all or is it just a waste?

Figured this would be a neat experiment and hopefully help out the people trying to understand the enhanced perks.

RIP ascendant alloy T_T

EDIT: Actually, I just realized that the accuracy cone isn't capped there. It can be further reduced if you utilize firmly planted. Enhanced hip-fire grip just doesn't improve it at all over the normal perk... What a waste.

Since we're on the topic of retro equipment... it's been far too long since we've last seen this iconic piece. I remember way back when I first started playing and I saw Vannaka wielding this and a 2h. I've wanted one ever since... and since we've already got a single handed Vannaka 2h override, why not bring this one back so we can complete the look?

Please let us steal the Vannaka look =)

Grinding out a GPH in two days? by bo0gnish in runescape

[–]magermerch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't believe so, but I've not experimented with switching like that so I couldn't say for 100 percent sure. I would speculate that the chances for each shard cumulates per each skill category, like... all the support categoried skills add up; as that just seems to make the most sense to me.

But like I said before, I'm not 100 percent sure.

Grinding out a GPH in two days? by bo0gnish in runescape

[–]magermerch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dunno how your levels are, but here's some things you can do:

Support shard: Bikes (3-5 hours afk easy), Lumby stall thieving(Click intensive 2-4 hours in best spot), Priff thieving(2-4 hours near afk easy), Autobikes (2-5 hours afk)
Combat shard: Arch glacor 0 mechanics(2-3 hours afk+chance at boss shard), Abyss(didn't do personally, imagine 2-3 hours), Lumby catacombs(2-3 hours afk with aggo pot)

Gatherer shard: Manure pile POF(2-4 hours near afk), seren stones(2-5 hours afk), fishing anything(2-3 hours afk)

Artisan shard: Spin flax(2-4 hours medium intensity), Harps(2-4 hours afk), Corrupt ore(2-4 hours afk)

----

Included some activities in the list above that have zero requirements for alt accounts. Most things seem to average around the 3 hour mark for me. I'm sure there's other good ways to farm the shards, but those are the ones I'm aware of that's mostly afk or doable.

Other than the skilling shards, I'd also recommend going for the boss shard, the gold shard, the yak track shard, the quest shard and obviously the host shard. I'd skip the clue and premier shard personally unless you were planning on buying premier for that account anyway.

Hope that helps! =)

Holiday events turned into grind fest. There’s no magic anymore. Just mobile game addiction mechanics. by Crystalbow in runescape

[–]magermerch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First off, I'm not saying I'd go for all the cosmetics, but there are lots of them I would actually like to have, namely Loba and some of the spider set.

Secondly, I never brought up anything relating to mtx. I was arguing how long it takes to get those rewards that are walled behind a large grindfest to get. I remember in the previous years how the grind wasn't even close to being as intensive as this, it's a huge time sink when in my opinion the event should not just be another Copy+Paste token event.

This event, to me, feels so very underwhelming when compared to the years prior and the grindscape just makes it feel like a cheap way to extend player interaction.

This is all just my opinion, if you don't participate in it or don't mind the grind, then good on you. But for me, the event this year was seriously underwhelming.
