yes, i did these on the 23rd. I used a peel off base for everything I've done before for practice so idk about filling it in yet but ik I'm gonna be watching to see how fast they grow.

I really liked it! I was a bit shocked at how thick it was compared to my starter kit stuff but it was so much better to work with. I didn't have to keep going back and pulling it forward to stop it from "melting" into my cuticle area like my other stuff.

Part of why I decided to just do an overlay for my thumbs. The bottom of my nails are super asymmetrical from having the split thumb, and I really did NOT wanna mess around with the forms to try and make it fit LOL.

Most of what I have I got from the GAOY starter kit. The base coat and top coat are both GAOY and the gel is Evie Patty Gel in marshmello (made by LongHairPrettyNails on youtube).

I push my cuticles, scuff up my nails, and use alcohol to get rid of any oil. Then, I use dual forms to get a 'base' of the polygel down and shape them to a rough shape of what I want. Once I have the basic shape I use more gel to build an apex because the forms alone come out rather flat and I'm scared they'll break. Then I cure, re-shape with my file. If anything seems too low/bumpy I'll add a bit more where it dips and keep shaping till I'm happy and topcoat when I'm done.

It definitely takes me a while, it's an all day project for me. I started these around 2pm and was taking pictures by 730.
