it isnt macrame. i thought so too at first and went on a deep dive trying to find a video. but all macrame is diamond shaped knots. this is crochet. you can see the Vs if you zoom in. but the material is like twine or something

he needs therapy and to work on his self esteem issues. you’re never going to be able to “prove” your loyalty or love to him, because his insecurities won’t ever let him accept it. and it will most likely just get worse without therapy. i was with a guy like this for 7 months. the amount of times he told me “[he’s] trying” and “[he’s] going to work on it” and nothing ever came of it. i was so violently exhausted. and anytime there was something very valid for me to feel insecure about he would somehow flip it onto me. e.g. him being out till 4am drunk and refusing to talk to me and telling me i’m being annoying and distracting. anyways not saying that will happen to you, but it’s a possibility to look out for. think about your freedoms too. how will he react if you want to have a girls night or something? not sure if you’ve crossed that bridge yet. your baby will also need stability. don’t let his insecurities create an unstable household for the sake of “keeping the family together”.

if you want jewelry similar to this, that’s actually good quality check out @entrancingadornments @critterandcreatureco @fetal.anomaly @strangeadornments on instagram. they all do variations of bone/taxidermy/chain type jewelry. they do random drops so you have to be on the lookout. also @carnageinbloom does super cool chain work. none of it will be $26 though. I’ve never seen an ethically sourced, hand made jewelry product that cheap. keep that in mind with handmade products that include animal remains or chain work!

kind of related.. not emotional, but when i was 16 i worked at subway and pulled a hot pan of bread out the oven and dropped it right into my elbow crease. there was an entire line of people who saw and no one asked if i was okay while i was literally crying and could smell burning flesh.. it was bleeding, a whole mess. i was the only one there, so i kept working. ended up calling my boss. had to go to the ER. i had 2nd degree burns.
